That's a big custom made, easy chair by the window. No kidding, it's unique. I think it was used by a train big wig as a personnel riding car; I'll get the full story sometime in the future as I want more interior shots from here.
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in. |

I just started using a tripod and its helping lots. I have shitty cameras, and the tripod is held together with duck tape. I want to get a new camera and a nice tripod but the wife has banned me from buying new camera stuff until the baby comes.

You're right. Beat me to it. Those aren't old at all, in fact, they're fairly new. I haven't seen any of them yet. I saw one being ferried through one day, but I've never seen one in use, never heard one run. They have an engine in them that is more like a road truck than a locomotive engine, higher RPM and all that. I don't always like change... not sure how I'm going to like these new locomotives.

| | | cool thanks! they looked like an older design but were in new condition and the engines did have a different sound almost like a big rig

I haven't heard them yet, just read about them. I think they have a Caterpillar engine in them. They do kinda look like some of the older switch units. Everything has to be "green" now. Frankly, I like the power and rumble of the "regular" low RPM diesels.

Those look like those "Next-Gen Clean Air" switchers I see around my work all the time. They have some catchy slogan about being all environmentally friendly.
