I'm am on Railpictures.net as Jay Brooks. I've since stopped posting there as I believe their acceptance of photography is too strict and biased.

If you enjoy railroad magazines, I recommend checking out Railroads Illustrated. And no, I'm not pushing this magazine just because I am a news columnist for them! I honestly feel that Railroads Illustrated is once of the best rail photography magazines available. There are some truly spectacular stories and photos from some excellent photographers!

Ok, I guess we will call this a sub thread.

I took a long lunch and toured this. I am just sitting here in an empty shop so why not be resourceful and add some pics to the thread.

Some of you have seen my DB entry "The Depot' these Interurbans ran through there. In fact this exact one did. After its retirement it was bought by a farmer who used it as his tool shed, then gave it to his children as a playhouse.
ENJOY!!

Bustedknucke... the 611 is mentioned in January 08 Trains magazine on page 78. It shows a small picture of it sitting at one of the museum buildings. It's a short write up about it in the "Ask Trains" section, where a reader was asking about a rumor that the engine might be put back into service. But it is in there if you'd like to try to find a copy of it.

Most hobby shops that carry the magazine would probably still have it, but if not a friend of mine probably has a copy of it that he would give up.
