Ok here are 3 from my giantic collection of mid to late 70's RR pics. Unfortunately they would not resize to message board.

The yellow ATSF F train at the Cleburne shops

The Cleburne roundhouse

The blue and yellow F train

Old CN Diesel shop in Canada. It was a pretty awesome place to explore... and take our UE self portraits there.

Not a great picture, but saw this Wednesday... don't see these unpatched Cotton Belts very often anymore. Last time I checked, there were less than 60 of them still around.

I agree. Those are still my favorite. Probably because of when and where I grew up. Those were the only trains I saw when I was a kid. I still see some of them around, but they have that yellow patch on the side which just doesn't go with that paint job.

I'm glad there are still a few around. I never did warm up to the black widow paint scheme.

We actually had one of those here at the Tyler yard as a local engine a couple of years ago. Not a BN, but a UP. I haven't seen it in a year or so. It's probably gone for good.

I've got a Leslie horn in my collection like the one on top of this unit. Very nice sounding horns.

I've made a few references to this engine before it was restored. I looked up the pictures I had taken back in Jan 02. This unit, at the time was CN 9167. They did a fantastic job restoring this engine to it's original designation and colors.

I like hearing them in the distance, they do have a pleasing meandering sound about them.

Never saw it like that. Knew in was CN though.

Yep, thats the same one, even though there are some changes (like the added headlights) that make it look different. It's the same engine. They did a good job on it.
