I got one.

Putting pressure sensitive motion sensors on the base of a ladder but not on the support struts holding the ladder to the superstructure...

=

throw the rope over the support strut and SRT up, then climb around the motion sensor.

That isn't really pathetic security; it will stop all but 1e-6% of the population from getting through... you're just too ninja for it.

I ran into that the other day, except the broomstick was inside the building - it was supposed to be holding in an a/c unit so I couldn't crawl through the window .. fail.

This is from the abandoned nursing home I went to this past weekend, mind you every single door but maybe this one and another boarded up one were wide open, not to mention the huge garage like basement doors that were open.
Maybe they should worry more about all the needles spread out over this place.

There's a 10-foot diameter RCP drain in Scarborough, and compared to most things in this neck of the woods it's like a highway. It has two big side by side steel shutter grates with a big dirty chain and padlock... connecting the two of them to each other. You can lift the whole thing like one giant doggie door and stroll on in. What gets me is each door has a padlock loop on the sides of the tunnel. If they had only had one more lock...

wormgear -noun, verb (slang)
1. Boots, coveralls, and other frequently muddy gear worn by drainers ("Take off your filthy worm gear!")
2. The act of getting unstuck in a corrugated metal pipe, in which case the only escape is having your buddies spin you around like a corkscrew

That looks like a rooftop to me, so I'd say it's not THAT pathetic. It is by UE standards if the roof isn't too hard to get onto, but by normal person standard that wouldn't necessarily be seen as a viable POE.

All it protects is the heating unit. So i guess the building isn't pathetically protected. The door does get points for having the screws in the hinge backwards

Hehe... that door...

It had a deadbolt that locks from the outside, and led nowhere. It didn't really protect anything, and didn't lead inside. It was a bit funny though, when I opened the deadbolt, pushed on the door, and it fell off of it's hinges. Someone had taken the screws out of the bottom hinge and put them in backwards.

Security was all-around pathetic in that place. They made some attempt to make it LOOK secure, but often from only one angle or one side. Another utility building on the roof had a big heavy chain on the door with a lock, and none of the windows were locked. One was even wide open.

The roof was definitely not a viable point of entry though, unless you planed to climb eight stories.

Should have taken a picture of those keys in the kitchen, Budda.

Description works.

A whole ring of keys to the building sitting out attached to a block of wood and with a big chain locked around it (I guess so no one can take them and be sneaky about it. Simply slid the keyring out of the chain and wood like you would normally remove a key.

Love it when that happens! When I'm walking around a downtown area, I often just try random doors to see if they open. I once did that in downtown Gate City, VA when I was with Coley and the entire door literally just fell into the room when I pushed on it!

I card-bumped my way into my own apartment today. I am buying new locks tomorrow- because that is just pathetic.
