That, sir, is a wallmaster. Try not to get captured by it, or you will be returned to the beginning of the dungeon.

The signs on this facility were faded but sounded pretty serious.

(The same warning was repeated in about six different languages.)

They had a chain link fence topped off with a double row of barbed wire as well, but it had seen better times.

The other end had been fenced off by developers but the gate was completely unsecured.

I saw something similar at a construction site once.

I don't have any photos, but I'll do my best to describe:

Imagine a knee-high sheet of particle board covering the width of a doorway, held up in a similar fashion like the door pictured above. Except held there by a broomstick.

Just past this "security measure" lay a completely unsecured $8000 (so I'm told) welder and buckets upon buckets of tools and machinery.

I should mention that this doorway was facing an active parking lot... Hard to believe that nothing was stolen.

I've got a couple...

This door leads to the machine room for an elevator in a Florida hotel.

Look a little closer, and what's that hanging there?

Yes, it is indeed the key that unlocks the door.

This one was in a subway station in Italy.
You can see that he is watching not the monitors, but his game of video poker!

Shortly after I took this picture, he noticed us all laughing at him and came out and yelled at us.

Screen door on the fire escape, or the barricades on the wrong side of an outward opening door win.

I've come across a few doors that were locked, but wide open. Worst was a locked door, right next to a garage door that was wide open. "How will I ever get past this locked door?" I pondered to myself.

I guess this would be effective if you were really, really tall and could only enter a building via the first floor windows.

Did you try going through the open garage door to see if the small locked door could be unlocked from the other side? I guess if the small door was padlocked or deadbolted that wouldn't help.

I appreciate the suggestion, but going through an OPEN door? How ridiculous, that would never work!

P.S. Your prison tower made me lol.

nice thread.

at an old school house the door was bolted pretty tightly as you can kinda see. it had an old-school pad lock which I was just going to pick.

As I was walking away to go to my car to find something to pick the lock, I stepped on something...

at that point I mouthed "you've gotta be fucking kidding me". I immediately motioned for Kim to come over and we both looked at each other and though "there's no way....". Sure enough, it fit and opened up the door
