Hit it with the smart blur
Nice drain and well lit in both sections. Can we call you "Danger" ?

I should have placed that light around the bend more carefully - it's making too much of a hotspot on the wall there, and it's a bit too obvious that where the light source is sitting. I should have put the thing in the middle of the tunnel instead, and I'm not sure why I didn't.

The foreground light looks a bit dim to me now, too. I do have other versions with the foreground brighter - I should take a look at those again...

Quark with Fenix diffuser sitting against the wall around the bend, and Quark RGB (in dim white mode) aimed directly at the foreground.

Ten seconds, I think. My cable release socket is broken, so certainly no longer than thirty seconds, as I know I didn't use a rubber band to hold down the shutter button on that particular shot.

Must get that socket fixed...

Its odd you mention that because I have two other friends, who Have D300's with the same issue...

Was it this shot of mine? I don't think I've seen anyone else bother with that drain

I hadn't seen this shot of yours before. Very nicely lit!

Wow! Is that a ship breaking yard or something?

Not too sure what they are doing with it, its just docked to the shore.

Toronto still has a number of active bulk carriers that travel along the Great lakes. They are floating rustbuckets, but really fun to 'splore.

That's pretty striking. I'm impressed how still you manage to remain while spinning the steel wool - what kind of exposure times are you using?

Pay close attention at pic 2 and you'll see he's got some sort of powered spinning implement. I'm guessing cordless screwdriver?

HA! I wish, it's a drill

@Meta, that exposure was easy, only 8sec cause a lot of natural light coming in.

That's a great idea, and much better than my use for a drill in drain lighting
