The part of this image that I lit was the blue in the background the rest was available light.

Smooth! It'd be kinda nice if there was a person in that shot I think - tough to do if you're solo lightpainting though

Taken on my nice brand new Olympus E450, no more film.

Woohoo I'm not the only Olympus user!

A spot of painting from last night...

Solarforce L2 through an orange ping-pong ball, held above head height, just out of view of the camera to try to bring out the cracks in the floor.

Quark, and the same ping-pong ball, clipped to a tree for some side lighting.

Solarforce from the side through the ping-pong ball again, Quark behind me. This one's been desaturated a little in post, hence the lack of glaring orangeness.

Okay, tried my hand at light painting again only my second time. It was rather dark in this building since most of the windows had been boarded up. But a little bit of snow and street light shown through an open window. Used my Coleman headlamp as a light source shown from behind my tripod.

I quite like this pic.

Diffused Fenix PD30 in manhole/stairway passage.

Tesco 3 watt AA Cree led, minus lens for wide even fill, placed just out of shot to left of camera.

Fenix TK40 handheld.

Note the faint white trail through the shot was a big clump of soap suds that seemed to appear from nowhere and float through the scene.

Ooh, just lovely, JD! So, the lens-less LED was stationary, not waved around to fill things evenly? I'd have thought there'd be more fall-off - it's all so smooth and even!

Yeah, stationary. I'll be sad when that torch finally clocks out. They're cheap things but the manufacturer has downgraded them and so the same product is no longer available. I'm amazed it's done so well as it has, especially having the lens removed constantly in very humid environs, and taking a few accidentally washes. It does make for a very even spread of light, and placed sufficiently there's little sign of any hot spot and the light still has a good reach.
