I second that, plus, y'all reckon we could have a meetup during the week, like a Wednesday night? I ALWAYS have to work weekends, which makes any chance of me meeting you guys very slim.

| | | If you guys are sure it's still *currently* open, it sounds fine to me. I'll set the event listing accordingly. As for me, I've got to see what all is going on, and even if I'm free there's no guarantee -- my daughter's baby is due on the 27th, so at any moment I may get a call, drop whatever I'm doing, and go meet my grandbaby!

| | | Tomorrow, at NOON, in the middle of a long string of 100-degree-plus days. Let's meet and celebrate Global Warming (or normal climate variability, whatever)!

late is to be expected. If we wanted to run things on a tight schedule, we'd be, i dunno, train conductors? That said... I'm already here, up by front door. Word is that they're kicking this awesome joint out in favor of... An 'nfl store'. What a stupid waste.

| | | Awesome for me until I got back to my car, parked at Cedars Station... it had been broken into. However, the joke was on the dumb criminal -- my car is full of trash, and all he did was scatter it around. On the plus side, he didn't break any windows -- though my driver's side window now has an annoying whistle. I'll have to see what got bent. Also, I guess he -- or someone -- felt sorry for me. 'Cause he left a CD player on the roof. I took it to the station and put it on the bench before I realized that the car had been burglarized... I suppose it might have been useful for prints, but no police department is going to take a nothing-missing, slight-damage incident seriously enough to dust anything. Chalk it up to experience... Cedars Station has very little parking, so there's seldom anyone there. No traffic means no eyes on the bad guys. Next time, I'll park at Mockingbird like I usually do.
