I have wheels again. The military blazer I bought turned out un-repairable even after dumping a lot of money into it, so I sold it and broke down and bought something normal.
But at least now I can go explore again and make the meetups. Yeeehaw.

Next month, the DART Green Line will be up and running. I just ate at a little greasy-spoon burger joint in Carrollton that's right off the rail line:

The burgers were delicious and humongous, and the place is set up great for us to take over a section. It looks like it's grown like a fungus, occupying like three spots in the strip center. You come in the middle, order on the far right, and on the left there's a seating section that's a couple of steps higher than the rest of the place.
Also, anywhere that has these reviews has got to be good:
"This place has awesome Burgers and Fries. I was totally surprised"
"This place has the MOST HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!!"

Although I work in Carrollton, I don't know much about what's around for a-splorin' -- but I'm sure we'll think of something. Send me a PM if there's something I should go scout out during lunch.
Though there's a chance I won't be able to explore, or may not even be there... a dear friend (of both me and my girlfriend) is having a birthday party on the same day. But you'll love the burgers, and be sure to order the onion rings too.

Can you take the train to get there? I live in Fort Worth and I am still without car but I would love to go. I only know the train route from Fort Worth to Centreport.

Yes you can get there from Fort Worth. Stay on the TRE until you get to Victory Station, then transfer to the green line train that says Frankford/North Carrollton.
You'll want the 10:17 AM train from T&P, You get to Victory at 11:11, the green line to Carrollton comes at 11:22 and gets you to the train station at 11:53. Wait, the meet up is for 12:00 P.M., right? Boy I better double check on that.
