And then, it asks the question: in a cold, uncaring, ruthless world of corporate slavery and assembly-line experiences . . . how is it possible to still live a life with strength, and passion, and with a soul that is still truly alive? |

| | | ok... is this BBQ idea taking place of the burger joint? or is this a separate idea for the future? that aside... since our meet-n-greet is during mother's day... well, my mom's going to be in town for my graduation, and she wanted us to go see the king tut exhibit... so...... my mom may come. i don't know if that's... appropriate. but, she's my mom.... and i do want to see king tut, and spend time with her, and go to the meeting, and have my cake and eat it too...... so we'll see. i used a lot of elipses here.

| | | I'm still looking at meeting at Hunky's on Mother's Day at 2pm, as noted in the event listing. But afterwards, there's plenty of room to throw frisbees at Kidd Springs Park, unless of course we were to happen upon an interesting underground structure.

| | | I was think that the Cook out could be the meet up after this one, that way we could have time to get all the stuff and see whos bringing what. Also we could make it a 2 day event full of explorations and that way it will be a better convention. If we make a big list of all the cook out supplies we could all sign off on stuff to bring.

I'm lucky to get folks together for two HOURS, and you're talking about two DAYS? On the other hand, you suggested Swiftmas, so maybe I'm just not dreaming big ENOUGH. Last year, we were talking about having a meetup at Tyler State Park, which would (virtually) assure that we could have our Glorious Leader Raticus present. That would make an awesome two-day affair. Hmm...

Thats sound prefect could we cook out there or is there a park near by? We could make this a true convention and invite the whole southern district.

There is probably a park somewhere in the vicinity of Tyler State Park. Here's a link with the details: http://www.tpwd.st...adest/parks/tyler/ "Activities: Activities include picnicking; camping; boating (motors allowed - 5 mph speed limit); boat rentals; fishing; birding; hiking; mountain biking; lake swimming (in unsupervised swimming area); and nature study."

Let me just get this out in the open. If you have the swine flu, I'm not hugging you.

| | | There's a big CNN news truck out in the parking lot of my office covering why FWISD has decided to shut down the entire school district (due to THREE cases of swine flu). I really wanted to be interviewed so I could say something outrageous and uncouth about why it's worse in Mexico than it is here. Oh the controversy I could create. But yes... my two cents about swine flu. Also, if you have swine flu... um, don't come? Just saying.. public space, food, sneezing and snot... not a good combo. http://www.uer.ca/...id=1&catid=1000489 There might be zombie broads as well. So, I plan on heading up that-a-way on Saturday and spending the weekend up there. I would love it if someone wants to show me around Saturday afternoon-night! I guess just PM me and we can set something up.
