| | | Hey everyone. I'm a 14-year-old boy from the Pasadena area. I learned about UE just two weeks ago, by "stumbling upon" this awesome blog. I was immediately hooked, and on the blog I found a link to here. I've been looking through the DB, Infiltration, the Rookie Forum, random topics throughout the forums here, and counting down the days 'till I could post and introduce myself here ever since. In that time I've also scouted out, on Google Earth and in person, several key locations I'm going to explore further in the coming week, as well as made detailed maps of my area for UE purposes. I have a friend who lives way out by the beach near me who's coming over to my house this coming weekend, and we're planning to go on both of our first real UE trip. We'll naturally be taking tons of pictures, and I'll be posting them here if they're good enough, along with some hopefully entertaining stories. I think that's about it. Hope I learn some tricks and share some good times here.

| | | Hi everybody, I'm yet another person getting into UE. I like exploring for the sake of exploring, but usually bring my camera too since I'm pretty into photography. I've been to quite a few places around New Hampshire that aren't on this site, so I hope I can contribute as much I can. A few photos from some different locations:

| | | Hello all! My name is Hunter, I've been into Exploring for quite awhile, I was directed to this site by m'verygoodfriend who goes by Beneath and Above on here and I've been acquainted with Imprezawrxsti for more or less a year... he's the one who got me curious about tunneling. For as long as I can remember I've been curious about Ghost Towns, Urban abandonments, Infiltration and the like. I've been to a good number of locations in Colorado and on my list are such epic abandonments as Chornobyl, Gunkajima, Ascension Island, Catacombs of Paris, Ryugyong Hotel, the usual list of WWII ruins and too many places in the former USSR to mention (in Soviet Russia, Abandonment explores you) A very out of date directory of my photos is Here

| | | I go by "grep" and I've been exploring as long as I can remember. Glad to find a place to meet up with other like minded individuals. I recently checked out "rat race" under downtown dallas, and the super collider in waxahatchie. I am looking for other people in the Dallas area who are also interested in new places to explore.

| | | Hi, I'm Erica. Most people call me E-Rad. I'm 18. I'm a photo major at New Hampshire Institute of Art and I dorm there in Manchester. I spend the weekends in my hometown, Lowell Massachusetts.
I've been browsing this site for a few weeks now.
I've been into UE for a while now... I've just recently been able to actually do it though. Danvers State Hospital was my inspiration. I didn't get there before it was demolished though
Today I went to some old mills in Manchester New Hampshire, but there was a construction crew putting up fences... the door was wide open though ;)
I'm going to check out a jail in Salem Mass tomorrow.
I believe UR is more than just checking out abandoned places though... I think it also involves getting out there and just checking out your city, seeing what other people don't see.
Ummm, that's about it I guess.
Edited for location info. [last edit 11/14/2008 3:15 AM by peaceloveanderad - edited 1 times]

| | | Hello all, My name is Paul and I am a geology student. I live in Kingsville, TX but on weekends I travel to Corpus Christi, TX. While doing some searching for possible sites, I stumbled across a page about "Abandoned & Little Known Airfields" located at (http://www.airfields-freeman.com/). Well, I was going to Corpus yesterday and decided to take the plunge. Here's what I found: Cuddihy Naval Auxiliary Air Station / Cuddihy Field Airport (07TE) Corpus Christi, TX (27.72 North / 97.51 West) Background: Cuddihy was used as a training facility for pilots from the Corpus Christi Naval Air Station during WWII. The site became obsolete after the war and was given to the City of Corpus Christi (mid 1940's). Sometime between the 50's and the 80's, it was changed to a private airfield. Since then, it has slowly deteriorated... Disclaimer: These pics were shot on a Canon Powershot SD1000. This is not dSLR material and I am no photographer. Images of Cuddihy Field:

| | | HI! I live in Seattle and like stuff!!! By that I mean I like exploring areas the rest of society has deemed "worthless." And I ride mopeds and race them. Question: How do I get the FAQ button on the left to stop blinking? It's quite distracting.

| | | My name is Dan from Alta Loma, CA. I love off roading and finding new places to explore. I stumbled upon this site from another forum and found a lot of new places to go. The coolest place I have been is to the War Eagle mine out near Dumont Dunes. Huge abandoned mine with a room full of Dynamite. Will get pictures next time. I hope to meet some of you soon and explore new places.

| | | Hi everyone! this site is awesome I love it. but yeah, I have always had a fascination with old things && such so UE fits right into a convenient fun hobby! I live in MD and travel to alot of the places, [mostly hospitals] that i explore... thats about it. no one reads all of these anyway lol.
We shall not cease from exploration and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started... and know the place for the first time |

| | | Hey all! My name's Josh. I've been into UE for a while, even been to this forum a bunch of times, but never actually explored or had anything to do besides lurk. Friends weren't really into it and I didn't want to/didn't know where to go alone. Then through a strange series of events, I ended up having a date with someone who knew willskith from these forums in an abandoned theater. I'm the type of person who spent hours finding glitches and beta levels in video games, and now I can't wait to get out there and find more real-life anomalies.
