hi everyone. i joined this site months ago, but kind of forgot about it until now.
my name's evan, i'm twenty, and i'm pretty much new to urbex. i've lived in sackville, new brunswick for the past two years (was attending mount allison), and am currently living with my parents for the summer in the annapolis valley. i'm probably going to be moving to ottawa in the fall to go to ottawa u and would love to meet up with anyone there once i move. i'm particularly interested in abandoned hospitals and asylums, but have never had the opportunity to explore anything more than a few crumbling houses.

Hello, new member here. I explored abandond buildings and drains for years when i was younger, but recently ive been getting back into it. I never realized that so many people felt the same fascination with these places that people usally dont see. For the most part i have only explored some decent sized storm drains and some boarded up houses. the most exciting of which is a 8,648 sq. ft. mansion and its stables and guest house. I would really like to learn of some intersting places in California, particualry close to san diego. Including Abandond factories, Militiary bases, hospitals or assylums and anything with an intereting history. Im not much of a photographer, but I plan on posting the few pics that i do have soon.

Greetings, humans! Finally signed up here. Was a lurker on WNYUE while it was still around. I enjoy seeing old, decaying machinery and buildings, and figuring out what they once were, and of course getting good pics of them. I suppose I started doing this when I was a kid, running up a drain to retrieve a lost necklace, and then in highschool spending three solid years exploring the innards of a masonic temple from 1911 (converted to our auditorium, holy crap was it fun!). I met roadwolf and geoviolator the other day; was nice to rub heads with a few locals. I'm sure I'll be seeing more of you out there! Good to be here!

I'll post up some pics soon; need to go through them and select/process them for aesthetics before I do so =) Can't post the crappy ones!!

Hey folks,

Just another curious fellow from CT. I'm not going to flatter myself and say I am a photographer; I'll just say I like to take pictures. I'm more of a history buff than an adventurer, but this hobby sure takes into consideration all of my others: free climbing/gymnastic styled shit, machinery, photography, bicycling and internet time wasting among others. I make a point of bicycling to as many abandonments as possible for a number of reasons. I'm currently on a little UE sabbatical for reasons I'd rather not discuss but which involve a federal background check and the fact that I probably shouldn't get arrested within that timeframe... :-B

Hope to get to know all of you. This site seems to be really informative and excellent!

Hey everybody! My name's Don. I'm up here in the northwest corner. I found this site by accident a couple of months ago, and have spent hours checking out some of the absolutely amazing places people have been to. I've always been one to want to know what's on the other side of a locked door. Also the architecture of older buildings interests me. Hopefully I can meet up with someone in the area to team up with for an adventure one of these days. Here are a few pics that I think some locals would recognize. It's an old mental hospital that is about to be completely demolished and hauled off. I remember going in this building while it was still in one piece. That was many years ago and I failed to get any pics at that time. Anyway, nice to meet you all.
P.S. First time using the new FZ8. Forgive the hood on the sides of some of the pics. Rookie mistake.

Hi everyone! I've been lurking here for a while, and finally got registered. I currently live in Colorado (I've been here 3 years), but I'll be moving to central Texas in three weeks (my husband is in the Air Force, in case you're wondering). I've explored a few places around here; sugar mills (one of which was once a meth lab - oops) and most recently Gilman. I'll be posting pics soon, and look forward to swapping stories!

Hey all, Sgt Marshall here. From Brisbane Australia. I'm a member of the Australian Cave Clan and have been "exploring" for a few years now.

I'm off on a backpacking trip in a month, Japan -> USA -> Canada -> Europe. I would love to meet up with some people to explore with along the way. 14 months planned but I'll keep travelling as long as the funds hold up.

If you want to see some photos of my exploring adventures in Australia take a look at my flickr site: www.flickr.com/photos/sgt_marshall Sensitive locations are hidden to keep them safe but there is still a fair bit of public stuff up there.

So I might see you over your side of the planet soon.

Cheers,

Hello, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Todd. I am in Charlottesville, Virginia. I am a very new member. I joined just over a week ago. So far, I have discovered only one other member from Charlottesville. However, I would like to see if there are others. My UER experience is somewhat limited as well as my time. But, I would like to be more active. My main interest is buildings, in particular old houses. I have been Draining {hopefully the correct term} only once or twice. Anyway, if anyone in Charlottesville or the near by surroundings is interested in contacting me, please feel free to do so. Thanks!

Hi. I'm new to the whole UE thing so I figured coming here and learning would be best. I live in Wales MA, and have only been able to go into abandoned houses, but would love to do more.

Cobcob here... Formerly from Australia, Northern Illinois, and now Missouri.
Been in the game quite a while now, think my first expo was back in '00 or '01 in Melbourne, I think I did 3 of the expos with the Cave Clan down there but seeing as I lived a good hour out of the city it wasn't too easy to do a lot with them.
I hang out on the undergroundozarks forum mostly, come across here on occasion to see what's goin on.

Hello all, my name's Clayton, I'm 18 and I live in SE Ohio.

Really got interested in UE maybe about half a year ago - I'd never even dreamed there was an entire hobby and internet society devoted to it. It hadn't even ocurred to me to go into abandoned places - But all through my life I'd thought they were really interesting, just driving by or whatever.

Recently had my first real UE, an old brick building in Nelsonville, OH. I'm not a photographer in any sense of the word, but I'll be sure to snap some pics with my digicam while I'm in new places. I look forward to spending years here, hopefully maybe exploring with a few of you!

edit: Ah, forgot to mention, feel free to contact me via AIM (sn: cdsbigsby) or MSN messenger ([email protected]). I'm also in UER chat every once in a while.

Hello.. That 7 day waiting period was torture!

I've been interested in ghost towns and deserted/ ruined buildings for some time but haven't taken to seriously exploring anything. I came across UE sites a while ago and got excited to see what a large community exists!

I'm looking forward to posting some pics and sharing stories..

Hello people of UER!

I guess I've lurking for a little over a week (maybe 2?)

I'm currently 35 year 11 months and 2 weeks old and live in Santa Barbara California.

I've done a little exploring around here, but finding anything abandoned in SB can be a bit difficult, so it's not always totally "urban"

*worries about street cred*
