That's okay mate. I was getting fed up with waiting anyway. I'm sure there are others in Sydney that explore things. I really don't have an issue with who I explore. But I do have an issue with waiting ages for a reply, and then replies like this. You guys come across a bit over rated.

You could try URBX (PM Stud69) as I think they had something like 50 Sydney members that explore nearly each and every day and night of the week.

Panic's site is back up and has a forums (urbanadventure.org) that will soon be bigger than UER! He really seems to have got it all happening this time.

They are the main two that I can think of that would suit you right down to the ground... or under it for that matter... ho ho ho, hilarious

Good luck.

Cheers,

Nahh i emailed the guys at urbanadventure and got an automated reply which said
winge winge winge
i don't explore any more
winge winge winge
i don't give out the google maps any more
winge winge winge
all new explorers are cock heads who will get themselves killed.

The Sydney scene seems to have died out after those guys got themselves killed in Lurline Bay. Does anyone explore here any more?

i hope your tagging days are done. most people here (as myself) apply the whole "take only pictures, leave only footprints" approach to exploring and wont take kindly to taggers bragging about the things they have ruined

I work in a railroad yard and scrawl it on cars with a piece of carman's chalk. It washes off in the rain. I would never deface anyone else's property or destroy it unlike most of the other idiots out there.

Well, I'm a new to urban exploration. Not completely true, I just didn't realize I'd been doing it for years. I used to just push the limits and sneak into places I shouldn't e.g. rooftops, basements, and etc. of inhabited buildings. Which I believe is called urban infiltration? Either way, I really enjoyed doing this before I found it was a "hobby". So, I'm here looking for ideas and advice. I'd also like to receive the full membership status at some point so I can share and view some inactive urban areas. Any tips or advice on what I should do next in this community or in UE in general would be greatly appreciated.

Not really new to UE, but I forgot to introduce myself last year. Sorry about that.

Started exploring more than five years ago, and have covered large parts of Europe and a smaller part of the USA since then. I've published several books since 2007, and two of them have become national bestsellers in Sweden. I started a Swedish UE forum in 2008 together with a couple of friends. Today, we have about 2500 members, mostly from Scandinavia. Of course, we'll probably be able to help you if you ever search for anything explorable in Europe.

Visited USA last year and had a great time, especially in Saint Louis where we were able to get in contact with the vibrant local UE community. I am currently planning a re-visit between August 6-16 together with some other experienced Swedish explorers. Of course, we'll be glad for any help that we can get along the way.

We're planning on starting in upstate New York, moving on towards Rochester, Pittsburgh, Ohio and Detroit.

You can visit my english website by following the link, the Swedish is approximately ten times larger.

Hi,my names Alex, and I'm fairly new here. I'm kinda new to urban exploring, since I would always go into abandonments as a little kid, but it was more messing around than UEX. Around a year ago, I got into UEing and would go exploring if i had the chance, but I never was really able to since where I live in DFW(On the Plano-Dallas border in west Plano) isn't ripe with good abandonments. It is just recently that I have been able to explore a lot more and I just finished my first explore where I was able to take photos today at an abandoned motel on the beach. Ima upload them when I get back to my house and I can't wait to explore some more! If anyone around the Dallas area wants to go infiltrating, let me know!

I maybe new to UER, but not to UE nor our local finnish forum q-elements, where I may be too active and provocative occasionally. I'm only focused on domestic targets. However my interest reaches out to Russian Karelia as well because of the finnish infrastucture, that still lies there mostly abandoned. The reason for this is propably, that the history of domestic targets is easier to find on the spot than looking afterwards information from some other country.

So history is a big part urban exploration for me. It also makes UE more meaningful by understanding national development through familiar structures. After all UE is, to me anyway, exploring new places and discovering new information. As we all know the rare and the most unseen targets take a lot of time and effort to reach, which makes far-away targets harder to approach.

Few years ago I went traveling for couple of years around the world. Seeing so much and getting to know other cultures raised many questions about my own roots and history. Being just a tourist in ordinary places without getting deeper felt meaningless, which kind of gave the kick to explore Finland. So I'm still on that road. I've had over 3 years of very, VERY active and succesful exploring. And on the way I've made many good contacts to interesting people, who have helped me on this endless quest of finding new targets.

The reason for registering to UER is pure curiosity of mine. I wish to see how people view urban exploring in other countries. This might be relevant to my endless project on writing a book about UE (in finnish). So remains to be seen how active I'll become here...

I'm concealing nothing but UE-sites.

My name is Shae, or that's what everyone calls me anyway. Obviously, I'm new here, and pretty new to Urban Exploration as well. I don't care for the term "infiltration" because when telling people what I do they respond with that raised eyebrow expression like I'm playing spy or something.

I have a crappy camera...i'm the first to admit. I have, however, pulled off some decent shots with it. The problem that I'm encountering is limited resources, a.k.a money, lol, but hopefully that should be resolved soon. I'm also having trouble finding sites in my area, whether that is due to high security, or inexperience at searching I'm not sure either way.

I've always been interested in exploring...it started with cemeteries, and eventually evolved into abandonments. There is something so addictive about sites that have had the most mundane of purposes, falling to decay.

Yo. I'm a Minneapolis kid that used to explore around Tampa with some old friends back when I lived there 10 years ago. Been getting back into urbex lately and I'm finding it more fun now that I've got better camera gear and more sense about me in general. I'm a photographer. I usually shoot rock/punk performances because they're fleeting and quickly forgotten (sometimes with a lasting legend) and abandonments because they're permanent (and often forgotten).

A few nights ago while a friend was in town (wildandgreen) I went exploring with some Twin Cities cats and learned a great many new things about my city.

Always looking for more exploration. If you're in the Twin Cities hit me up.

Hello, I am new here to UER, but not new to urban exploration. First off my name is Amanda and I am in the GTA. All throughout my childhood I have explored many abandoned places, unfortunately no camera at the time. One of my favorite places had to me an old copper mine near where my father is from in Newfoundland in which I explored as a teen. Unfortunately I am unable to do any exploration anymore due to mobility issues, in which would soon be change after surgery and then i can keep on some of my exploration. I know of MANY abandoned places, just that with my mobility issues I am unable to explore, although i may be able to do the odd exterior shots ;) I hope to read more about peoples experiences and soon be able to write about mine as soon as I am healthy enough and more mobile.

Hello,

been a member for a month - I got into exploring bout the beginning of this year. I've explored a few places ranging from a Hospital, several small homes, a few warehousing, & a amusement park. I am based in Indiana, but did some exploring in Ohio just last week.

I wish this was a part time job, get paid for every abandonment I run across. LOL.

I also follow the COC when exploring, "take only photos, leave nothing but footprints", also I do not tag buildings damage or the like.

I am 20, quiet 80% of the time, but like to be funny.

Hey everyone. I'm from Western Massachusetts. I've been poking around this site for a while but have unfortunately not had much to contribute. There are a few sites in mind of which I'd like to post pictures. I also would like to get more active in this community (secretly jonzing for full membership cause I've exhausted the UE DB ).

Hello everyone,

My name is Marcello and I am pretty new to the whole urban exploration scene. I recently purchased a DSLR and found it pretty addicting and fun.

I am in the upstate NY area so there are a decent amount of interesting places to visit around here.
