I'm new here, time to introduce myself.
I'm a Male, 23, from Rhode Island. I've been doing basic UE all my life, but started larger stuff about 8 years ago.

Conquests:
Old Army Reserve Base
abandoned Train Tunnels
Old houses and farms
Backstage at Disney
Airport, Bridges, Caves

I try to stick with historic places, not just any empty building.
My day job is building clean outs. You can almost say I get paid to UE!

Greetings UER community! You don't know me but I sort of know you!

I'm a 21yo guy from Victoria British Columbia, Canada. I originally found this site yeaaaars ago from some medium I no longer remember. My attention was immediately drawn to the massive forum thread, Under the Garden City: Victoria B.C. secret tunnels. I still haven't even come close to finishing the read. I became busy with school and work for quite some time which contributed to my delayed intro and extended inactivity.

Honestly this site has kept me well entertained just reading other's posts and only recently has my interest in UE become strong enough that I have gotten a couple friends together and we've begun actively searching for sites to explore and getting together a supply of equipment we feel we may need.

We would love nothing more than to meet an experienced explorer or two in Victoria with a little patience to introduce us to some well known sites and show us the ropes.

I hope to be able to begin contributing and reporting our discoveries as soon as possible!

Hello everyone.

I have lurked around the site for a while and I can see a few known names here. I am from Sydney/Australia and a few of the Aussies may know me or know of me.

I have been exploring in Sydney for a few months now and I have explored a bit in the USA earlier this year.

I am going back to USA in the next couple of weeks and I would love to join someone to check out what it is out there in Atlanta and its surroundings. I have been to Atlanta once before. This time I am interested in seeing places that even locals don't get to see too often if at all.

Regards,

basura

Hi,

I'm not new to urban exploring, but definitely new to this website. I live in the Dubuque, Iowa area so I get to explore areas in the tri-state (Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin) area. So far, a few areas I have explored are as follows:

Cave on private property,
Abandoned satellite tracking facilities,
Few old root cellars,
Old beer cellar,
Few abandoned farmsteads (one including a rustic log cabin for the house),
1960's civil defense nuclear fallout shelter (capacity 200+).

I also know of an old lead mine in the area that I plan to explore yet this summer (will require ropes to access). The fallout shelter was a recent explore for me (July 4th weekend) and was quite unique (built expressly as a bomb shelter, not just the basement of a building with an alternate function) and very large (3500-4000 sq.ft.). I took lots of photos and some video that I plan to share once I'm a full member. I also have photos of the satellite facilities from a couple years ago. I did a search for these structures in the forums and found no mention of them, so I hope they are something new that I will be able to add to the locations database so they can be shared with other explorers.

Some of my other hobbies are motorcycling, hiking, local history, and geocaching. I had hoped that geocaching would satisfy my need for exploration and adventure, but have become a bit disenchanted with all the lame park'n'go lamp-post-skirt caches out there. Unfortunately, it seems that geocaching is very strict about placing caches on private property. As a result, they are typically placed in very public areas that have little interest too me. Instead, I want to be lured to and share some cool places. That is why I'm joining UER.

medoug.

BTW... I will be posting my exploits in the Great Lakes area forum.

Hey all,

I'm a 24 year old dude living in Toronto, Canada. I grew up in the burbs and I've been urban exploring since I can remember, lots of old houses and buildings around to discover.

One of the best sites/places I used to visit often was Whitby Psych. For those that don't know it was a large psychiatric health facility near the GTA. Huge site with upwards of 10 building varying in size and purpose. WE used to go in the dead of winter late at night, so the flooded basements would be frozen solid and we could navigate the narrow service tunnels connecting the buildings. Some interesting things we found included; a bowling alley, a morgue, and massive cracked murals on the wall. It wasn't until I explored whitby psych that I knew urban exploring could be really exciting.

The site is gone now, and in the meantime I've been looking wherever I can. It's a little different living in a bigger city, but I'm finding some cool places. CAn't wait to post some pics are share with you guys, and hear about some of you adventures!

I'm going to try to make it to the meetups and see what it's all about. I'm an outgoing but laidback guy, so I'm easy to get along with. Hope to contribute lots to the site!

howdy,
I have been lurking around here for a while, and after reading the MANKIND denver thread,I had to join (it was the ninja turtles pic that did it)

I live in the amazingly warm stat of arizona, phx, or for the locals, northern peoria. I have been looking into abandon places for a while, with ALOT of internet searches, but no real library digging. this has been helpfull to a point, but i want more.

I am a avid predator hunter (yotes and diseased rabbits if you have been to wickenburg)and while looking for other place to call at, I stumbled upon a story about a guy that found a door out in the middle of the woods up by payson, az. well, after 12 pages he had finally went back there, opened it up and found a concrete bunker that worked as a water overflow tank for something. since then, I have been interested as to what else is out there. over the years of hunting, I have found some cool things, but never thought to take pics to prove it. that will change. I just got done showing a buddy the urban explores doc and he's hooked also. good movie, hopefully i will be able to add some great things also!

be a number, not a human

Hello to everyone! This is great; I have spent whole days here before and since i joined. Met the man of my dreams a little over a year ago, and about 3 weeks ago he showed me this site, Hooray! Google maps rock.... I grew up when there was nothing to the north or east of my neighborhood cept farm land, and now with the guidance i received here i already located three abandoned farms....
now making detailed instructions for myself so i can go see them! Thanks to all the posters of tutorials! Ya'll are great. Yes i am in Texas.

...whither shall I wander, upstairs or downstairs or in my lady's chambers...

Hey!

I am registered on many British forums but as I have spent many hours admiring UE images from 'across the pond', I decided to register on this forum so I can show my appreciation, and also share some of my pictures. I live in Kent, in Southeast England.

I look forward to spending much more time on UER

Hey everybody. My friends call me Lando. my wife & I live in Athens, Ga. I grew up in Atlanta and did a great deal of ue when i lived in the city. these days i do mostly rural stuff. the georgia countryside offers a lot in that respect, but you kind of have to know where you're going if you arent looking to burn up a lot of gas. i'm looking forward to being a part of this community.

cheers,

Lando

Hello Everyone!

Happy to be here and looking to do some great exploring. New to UE but did some recent exploring with a member here.

I am currently in the South Puget Sound Area and would love to find some UE enthusiasts to explore around this area.

Hey! I'm Chris, new member here, joined back in January and just kind of lurked a bit, sort of garnering as much knowledge as I could. Urban Exploration has always interested me, but I haven't found anyone to go with me as of yet, and a lot of the "abandoned" buildings/structures around here have been revitalized for development. Still looking for my first outing, if anyone from the tri - state area feels like showin a rookie the ropes.

Hello!
Sort of new to urban exploring. I've been to a few places around the Chicago area already with some people that are more experienced; one of which I'm pretty sure is a member on this site. I'm excited to be getting more involved and get some awesome photos

Greetings. I'm an explorer but more rural than urban. There's plenty of opportunity for checking out abandoned, derelict, decaying, and forgotten schools, hospitals, farmhouses, and factories out in north central WV where I live. I'm loving the amazing photos on this site. I think there's a huge number of cool potential explorations in the Wheeling area, a formerly glorious old steel city. Please contact me if you're up for something out there. Cheers!

Whats up erbody i'm Pooyo, or Poo for short. I got this name from the guy who introduced me to UE.. the first time i ever went exploring I had to cut my underwear off to use as tp. I'm from the minneapolis area and I've been exploring for about 5 years. After searching through the site a bit i realized i've been to many of the places mentioned (in the mpls/stp area). I know there are many other places i'd like to go and hopefully this can be an outlet for that to happen. Some of the places i've been: Purina (when it existed), Hamms, Island Station, Sub-tunnels near Pillsbury, Bureau of Mines, Fruen Mill, Upper Harbor Terminal and some others.
