Hello everyone, I'm R.D.

Georgian born and raised, I've stumbled across UE sites for the past few years of my life but never treated it as more than a passing interest. Lately I've become more interested and would like to do it the proper way to avoid being stupid and going it alone with little experience. I have photography knowledge in nature more so than urban but that's just another perk.

Look forward to joining the community.

Adam here! or TunnelingCat if you rather
I am a Marylander!
I'm new to the "official" UE scene and this site however I have explored many abandoned places! I'm a budding photographer and hope to upload many photos in the future!
My attraction to UE is simply that I love the mix of history and adrenaline that comes from this hobby!

thanks for reading

Hi!

So after I move out of NYC, I'd like to travel around the US and Canada and do some exploring.

One problem I have is that I don't really know anyone else who thinks subterranean stuff like drains (or urbex in general) is cool.

Hey there! I'm a n00b too but if you're ever in/around maryland and know a good place my name is "TUNNELINGcat" for a reason. I LOVE subterranean things! hit me up!

Never hurts to try. But if it does, you're doin' it wrong.

Hello, me and my friends have always been interested in old buildings, we are big history buffs, and we are just now getting into Urban Exploration. We are based out of East Tennessee and we can use all the input we can get regarding equipment and new places near us to check out.

sweet i can finally reply to stuff now!

Hello UER peoples! i am new to the site. have a friend who got me into UE about 2 years ago. my first explore was Hudson, didnt quite know what i was doing as far as shooting went, i was taking pictures as more of a tourist than an explorer/photographer. i was into photography for a couple years before that , but nothing to serious until i got a new camera(XSI). im from the CT area so ive done most of the local stuff to death as it is.

not sure what more to say. i shoot with the ef-s 10-22mm, 70-200mm f/4 L. and my kit 17-55mm(rarely used).

here is a link to my site if anyone wants to check it out.

I would have done this months ago when I joined, but all sorts of stuff came up between then and I only now have some free time.

I've always been interested in abandoned places when I was younger, watching Chernobyl documentaries and Life after People and stuff like that. The first place I explored was a small abandoned warehouse a few months back and I haven't done anything since. Being there made me feel surreal, but looking through the forums I realized that there are much more bigger and grander things to explore, even nearby.

I am a student in the Metro West Area, Massachusetts and I do count myself as bit of a thrill seeker.

Hey everyone,
I've been exploring for a few months now, and just got around to introducing myself on the boards. I'm a Seattleite, and have so far climbed a crane, gone through the flour mill a couple times, got onto the roof of an abandoned condo construction, explored an abandoned hotel, and a few other places that escape me at the moment.

New to the pastime/sport, but loving it so far.

Hi, my name is Marc and I am a photographer, geocacher and urban explorer for several years now.
I am 34 years old and live in germany (near nuremberg). Sadly there are not enough lost places in this region, so I have to visit the eastern part of germany for most explorations.
I just recently discovered this forum and am looking forward to get full member status to post some more locations and images...

Hey Urbex! Im new here. My name is Crum, and im out of Tempelton CA. As far as expierience, I have little. I UE'd at the abandoned asylum in san luis, and im looking for new places to go. No im not a cop...durr. Im just a young man who wants to hit the scene. Go easy with me because im a little hyper, but I get the job done and I have a lot of heart. If anyone lives in the San luis obispo area, look me up. Most of you guys have been there done that. My main prob is POE. At the asylum, it took us an our to find the POE, and upon exit, i basically almost died. hahaha, anyways, I like all of the UER buddies and I appreciate the critique. Anyways, cheers.

To begin at some beginning, I'm known as Daenerys, the cynical, awkward kid who's such a fantastic psychological mess, what else is there to do than join a community for a sport/lifestyle that's slightly illegal and very thrilling? I have an aptitude to learn what I can and gain experience through what I can't. And due to previous posts I [unfortunately] feel obligated to say that I'm not deluded or arrogant when I post my abilities or knowledge on Urbex. I'm young, and I have very little experience, and I don't go sneaking out on my parents at night to go do some parkour or lockpicking at a conveniently abandoned high school two blocks down in full black tactical gear (tactical notebook included). It's only been a week since I've heard about Urbexing, and though I may have considerable knowledge in subjects that may remotely have some to do with it, I have no actual experience, though the forums have been combed cleanly for anything that I could learn without actually doing something. Meh.

Hi, I'm 37 and I'm new to UE. I've lurked around UER for a few years reading about some of the adventures, wishing I could get out there and experience them myself.
It all started when I read "Access All Areas" by Ninjalicious. His ethic and wisdom for exploring made me realize there is a lot for me to learn.
Then I started reading Ninjalicious' Infiltration zines! That has me yearning for some UE!
Will I ever get out there? That remains to be seen but until then I will enjoy reading about the amazing adventures of the real Urban Explorers here at UER!
Thanks for the privilege of being a part of this community.

I'm 16 years old, and a novice urban explorer. I've only explored 3-4 buildings 3 in Kalamazoo, MI and 1 in Detroit. I especially enjoy old hospitals and private homes, I have a couple of cool shots of the Insane Asylum/TB Hospital in Kalamazoo and I would love to contribute to a thread. I'm just having a little trouble getting to know the website and finding the thread.

Thanks guys!

Figured I would introduce myself as I have been lurking on the forums for some time now but never had time to actually post anything. I am currently in Greenville, SC and have been exploring ever since before I knew that I knew it had a name with the old houses in the woods behind my house back home. I know get to play on industrial job sites as a NDT inspector and many of the sites have shutdown and abandon areas that I have free access too. I have tons of pictures of these areas along with operating boiler houses, power plants, turbine rooms, paper mills, chemical plants, textile mills and so forth. I am looking to find a group in the Upstate SC area and even farther out as my schedule is flexible and thanks to my job I have tons of knowledge of engineering and rope access along with confined space training and rescue.

Hope to meet many of y'all one day.

Hey! I've been an amateur photographer for a couple years now and always looking to take pictures of something new. What really started my interest in old buildings was an old abandoned house I found while staying in a cottage. This was out past Digby, Nova Scotia. The house was basically falling apart, no doors, no windows, top floor was rotting through in places, etc. I had some great pictures of it and I've been interested ever since.
Just recently while planning another excursion to a place in BeaverBank (Nova Scotia) I found some pictures on Flickr and started messaging the person asking about the location. They happened to be a member here and suggested that I check it out, I have never heard of it before! So I have been here the past 5 days or so and have been checking out the forums, old and new. Already made a Donation because I feel I have already gotten something out of it so thanks!

Shotting Canon XS w/ just standard kit lens' 18-55IS / 75-300USM.

I hope to contribute soon!

Cheers.
