Hello everyone! =)

My name's Jon. I've been lurking on the forums for a little while, but this is my first post. - just introducing myself.

I come from central Alabama where I do the majority of my exploring - from cobblestone alleys to abandoned buildings, pretty much anywhere old worth taking photos of.

I call myself an amateur photographer on a budget. The only camera I have is on my blackberry, but it has produced some decent shots.

I look forward to be a contributing member of the community and I'm looking forward to perhaps one day soon going on an adventure with some UER members from the same area as I am. It's always great to meet new people with common interests... Especially when that shared interest is something as awesome as urban exploration!

Here's some photos from the abandoned school my buddy and I explored today. Neither of us had ever been there before! It was a good adventure.

Hello! I just started into UE about 3 weeks ago. I'm finally able to make a post after creepin' the forums for awhile. The name's Mekan!

I currently live in Brantford, Ontario and there really isn't much to explore around here. I've gone on two campaigns and I'm gonna be uploading my photos to wherever I can. I'm hoping to find some people in the Brantford/Hamilton area so I don't have to go alone. None of my friends are too much into exploring. :p

I also do biking (as I don't want to pay insurance for the car and it's summer. ) I've also taken into learning Korean too, which is a bit difficult.

You can get to my photos via my Facebook or my G+ Account. I couldn't post them on here because my camera-phone tends to make pictures anywhere from 1MB~1.4MB.

As I'm exploring more and more of the site, I've figured out what to take with me and what not to. I also read the Ontario Law on trespassing, which really me feel more confident on what I can and can't do.

Greets!

Karvakt is the monicker and I am (obviously) new to the forums. Always had an interest and a knack for exploring the forgotten and rundown places around my state and whatnot - tends to unveil a lot of lost history and photographic opportunities.

I am indeed looking forward to meet up with some folks in the northeast Oklahoma region and go on some exploration trips with folks who obviously have a similar interest (and of course learn the ins and outs)

That all being said, I give a big "Whats up?" to the rest of you.

Hello everyone, I am the Adventurer!

I considered introducing myself when I first became a member, but I forgot and instead uploaded my draining pictures to share my adventures with all of you.
I then considered introducing myself and yet again was distracted by an epic adventure.

But now, I've finally come to say hi.

After reading a handful of post here, it would seem that this is a good place to state the following:

-I am operating in the London Ontario region.
-I am looking for some UE/draining buddies (the ones I have are leaving for school, come september. ).
-feel free to msg me

that is all.

Hey there!

I'm Jasper and I wouldn't say I'm new to urban exploring, but I am not seasoned. I'm from the Inland Empire region of California, but go to school in Orange County I'm really interested in photography and film and love the idea of this kind of exploration for being able to document something that many have been forgotten or that people my ignore though it right in there backyard.

I have mostly adventured in the Inland Empire in area such as abandoned orange groves and old grove houses and master planned communities that have been half-finished for years.

But I was interested to know if anybody knows any cool place in the Orange County area that they would recommend, as I haven't done much looking there as I have liked.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Introduction post ahoy!

Hi, I'm Echolalia. I've been lurking for the requisite three days, and very eager to get more deeply involved with the community.

I'm 21 years old, and a part-time student in Raleigh, NC. I have VERY minimal experience with UE (a tiny bit of draining, and the occasional stroll around the outsides of buildings), but I'm really interested in becoming a proper explorer. I just lack the knowledge, tools, resources, information, experience, and contacts to get started. Small details. I'm here in the hopes of finding a local person/group of people willing to drag a rookie around with them until she's not a rookie anymore.

On the bright side, I'm not a Property Owner, Security Personnel, Law Enforcement Officer, Vandal, Scrapper, OR even an Arsonist. So I've got that going for me, at least.

Take wrong turns. Talk to strangers. Open unmarked doors. And if you see a group of people in a field, go find out what they're doing. Do things without always knowing how they'll turn out. You're curious and smart and bored and all you see is the choice between working hard and slacking off. There are so many adventures that you miss because you're waiting to think of a plan.

Hey from Buffalo area =) Been exploring buildings caves n drains for a 3-4 years. Never got in a steam tunnel or the like, interested in learning more about the Buffalo under city / possible college tunnels, or anything generally awesome and new =)

I do it for the physical challenge, the feeling of accomplishment... and the pictures, ohhh the glorious priceless pictures hehe

Hey there. From the DC area, been into exploring for about 6 years, but haven't been very active. Until recently. A friend of mine shared some stories of his adventures with me, and I started investigating places to go in the area. Through this I discovered just how big the community is, and how many opportunities there are out there.

A big part of why I enjoy it so much is the historical aspect- oh what the walls have seen...
Been exploring a little of what the area has to offer so far, but so far just the really well known locations.

Didn't take a lot of photos- was having camera issues, but here are a few:

I poke around a bit here in Southern California. I'm moving to Arcata in a few weeks, hopefully there will be some stuff up there. As it is, Orange County seems to button up abandoned buildings and level them pretty quick, at least in my area, so it is always a challenge.

I used to write, so seeing good pieces is always fun. Cheers.

Hiya. I'm Jeff. I live in Dallas, TX, and am learning more about photography the last year or so. I enjoy finding abandoned places, although a lot of the places I have explored have been more out of the way. I can't wait to dig around more here in Dallas-frankly I couldn't believe how comprehensive the list is on UER. The shot below is from an abandoned mine in Colorado, last week.

my name's ricky, i'm in northern virginia, i need a new camera to take pictures of all the abandoned places i know about.

i'm pretty sure i know a few people that post here, so it's only a matter of time before i start finding my way into the d.c. meet-ups, etc.

Hello,
I've been on UER for about two months now admiring the various photos and reading the stories of other explorers. A friend introduced me to this site and since then I have been pursuing urban exploration as a hobby. I'm just starting out as a digital photographer so I will be thankful for any critique and/or pointers that I get. I'm an explorer from the Toronto, Ontario region and have been out exploring only twice.

Looking forward to meeting you all,
LostPencil

hey hows it going everybody,

i was looking for a new thrill, then i came upon this site and decided that i would delve into the world of UE. since im pretty damn sure ill be doing this solo cuz i dont think anyone i know would truly be down to try, (hopefully taking some picz might persuade them ), so if anyone in or around the Orange County area wants to hit me up for some 'sploring, then lets do this.

Im ready to rock, if ur ready to roll
