| | | I'm a newbie in Raleigh NC. AnAppleSnail convinced me to come here, and I'll try my best to learn useful thing, and not be an asshole. A bit about me: (I think that's appropriate for the 'introduce yourself' bit) * I'm a mediocre musician. I play trombone. * learning lockpicking. (Thats more to do with 2600 than w/ UER-type-stuff... 0th rule of lockpicking: there's (almost) always a better way around a lock) * I'm a programmer. Its what I do, for work, for sport, for fun. * I love hard math problems. * I dislike classes. * I enjoy robotics. I work w/ a local robotics group developing an autonomous remote imaging plane (software team). Meh. I dunno what else to put. I <3 linux.

| | | hey, i'm totally new to not just the forum but the whole urban exploring business. there was a mighty big ex gun factory (i think) next to my flat, and i managed to get a look around a couple of times before they tore it down last week. got such a major kick out of it i figured that i'd search for some similar vids on youtube, which ended up leading me here. i'm 19 and from b'ham, UK

| | | Hi. I'm not TOTALLY new, but i did sorta forget about my account for a while and only remembered it recently when i revisited an old abandonment. Well, i've picked up my account where i left off, and with some learning and preparation, i'll be exploring the depths of my home city, Perth, in western australia. I'm hoping to find some good draining sites along the swan river.

| | | I have also been a lurker on this site. I just watched the movie last weekend, IT WAS SO INTERESTING!!! It seems like there aren't as many cool places around here to explore. We keep finding abandoned houses which are really awesome, but I'm itching to explore some sort of hospital or institution . The closest one to me is about 5 hours away, which is slightly FAR. Anyhow, I'm hoping to maybe find somewhere new through one of you guys or... maybe even meet some people to go exploring with us. We try to go every weekend, and don't always find something, we got lucky a few times I have a question, where would be the best forum to post some of our pics? p.s. I live in Toronto, I changed my location on the map, but it still says Brampton. [last edit 11/16/2009 8:26 PM by sativa - edited 2 times]

QPC ~30 seconds when I'm hungry. I sense a competition in the near future. I live in the "quiet corner" of Connecticut. And go to a college around Mansfield.

| | | Hey--- I've ended up in Seattle sort of recently and I figure that urban exploring is a good way to get to know certain parts of the area(and have adventures!). My previous experiences are pretty much limited to exploring the tunnels and secret-ish rooms in my high school and following people (mostly friends) into abandoned places. I'm definitely up for meet ups or whatever, I'm just hoping someone else will organize it. [last edit 11/23/2009 7:18 AM by 5oclock - edited 1 times]

| | | Hey, I guess I'm still pretty new to UE, but me and some friends have been going to our favorite local spot (Northville Regional Psychiatric Hospital) for almost 6 months now and know the tunnels and most buildings inside and out (the view from 8 stories up on the main building is amazing). We enjoy exploring, but living in suburbia, there isn't much to explore, which is why I was amazed by this site. Only other UE type place I've been is a small abandoned house nearby that appears to have been left after a fire. I don't use a fancy camera, usually just my cell phone if I want more than just memories. Lookin' forward to learning about some new spots to check out and learning more about the "hobby." -Whiskey

| | | Hi! I'm new here... I have been adventuring for several years though... Like most of my hobbies, I was doing some research to see if I might find a new "trick" or location and stumbled upon Max Action's website... A few days ago, I stumbled onto here as well. I am in Minnesota. Though I am a little ways south, most of my haunts are in the St. Paul Area...
I have "conquered", Battle Creek Park, The Ravine Park, The NSP Power Plant, The Shmidt Brewery, The Galtier Tower, The Cathedral of St. Paul (including the roof and inside the dome courtesy of a friend of the family who happened to be a priest there a few years back...), the Aqueduct underneath the Ford Motor Plant, The Utility Tunnels underneath St. Thomas Academy and Visitation, the U-Lands (Also known as the Ruins of the Gopher Munitions Plant) as well as a few other locations... I wandered onto this site while searching for an easier entrance to the Labyrinth in Down Town Saint Paul...I've been trying to find a way in since 2005 when I heard about it in passing from a friend of my mother... If anyone can toss me some suggestions or tips on places... I'd be more than happy to exchange places and information...
Always looking for a new way to look at the same stuff... |
