I am Izzy. This is Isegoria like equality in freedom of speech.

I am a pro photographer with about 20 years experience. I have but a few years in rural exploring and a few months maybe total in true urban. I shoot mostly industrial stuff. I am 40 years old so I am a bit old for Urbex but that age works in my advantage. I can smooth talk with cops rather easy. I am also a good politician so to speak so I can get access to areas that are otherwise completely inaccessible. I do not jump fences or scales walls like a spy wanna be. I find alternatives to gain access.

[code]I guess I'm new. I registered a while back but haven't played around too much. I am in the Chicagoland area but travel a lot and am willing to make trips to see great things. I am here to meet people who are interested in a similar things and for all the other obvious reasons. So yeah, send me a message or invite me to things. I want to explore.

Greetings! ItTurnsToRust here. Just wanted to say hey to everyone and announce my arrival and all that Jazz.

I'm fairly new to the urbex scene, only having been on a few trips to date. I live in Northern Vermont, but go to school in New York (just a few minutes away from the Hudson Valley Psychiatric Hospital site). I've found a few good places here and there, but a lot of it is hard to find info on, as I'm sure many of you know. I have a few sets of photos I can upload once I get used to the way things work around here. I hope that I can learn whatever I can and be able to share some cool stories. Anybody in the Vermont area feel free to hit me up (for lack of a better term) if there's anything going on. Nice to meet everyone, and happy Hunting!

Hey everyone, I'm obviously new on here but I've been exploring for a couple years here in KC. Just got into a school I've been eyeing for months now today and I feel pretty good. So I hope to meet some cool people, share my knowledge, and find some great places to explore! I'll share a few pictures for now.

Hey all! Unlike what seems like the majority of people on this thread, I have done just about zero exploring. All my life, however, I have been fascinated with urban decay and the détournement it carries- once abandoned, a room is no longer a tool to be used and lived in, but rather a work of art, a vessel for someone else's memories and a reminder of our own impermanence. Before I had ever heard of UE I collected images and wondered who or what each object and disturbance represented. Having come across UER, I am both hopeful and hopeless- I live in the very center of Seattle and, due to being a college student, I'm dreadfully poor. I have no equipment, no transportation, no experience and no idea where to start. Despite all this, however, I hope to begin soon, first in and around my city and, after I meet other explorers, around the state and country.
Here's hoping I don't get arrested before then!

(Ah yes, one last thing- if anyone in the Seattle area knows what they're doing and wouldn't mind giving me a few pointers, I'd be eternally grateful!)

Well, since alot of us forget to check this thread, let me be one of the first to welcome all the new folks. I'm relatively new around here myself, but I've been exploring for alot of years.

For those of you searching for folks in your area, there is a search option to the left...
<------
...that will allow you to search for folks by location. Also there are threads for all your current regions and you'll run across alot of folks there that can help you out.

We seem to have alot of folks from around the world. Thanks for coming in, guys and gals. I'm sure alot of the folks here will enjoy seeing your pics and hearing your adventures from places we can't easily get to.

Other than that, sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. your bound to have a fun time here.

Howdy, Im Sean but call me Scrumpet.

As most who seem to post here, i am a beginner photographer.
I am an artist from North Carolina. I have been very interested in exploration sense i was younger, exploring a near by abandon house.

I use a Nikon D3100 :>

I have had a long time phobia of the dark and horror, but that kind of fuels my curiosity and artistic vision.

Appart from Urban Photography, I illustrate, Paint... I draw furry art too, Which is pretty lame haha.

I look forward to meeting some folk and getting more into the community! :>

Hello!

I'm excited to be on this site. I recently picked up a camera and started shooting a lot. I hit a few areas here in PA before I really discovered the urban explorer world. I've got a lot of places on my list to hit and I'm excited to have a community to share with and learn from. I'd love to meet some other people from the Berks County area or travel to hit some spots with people. The safe way to do it!

I'll post a few photos in the other forum a little later. I looks forward to being a part of this community! Contact me if you are in Berks County PA or around here and would like to explore!

Greetings All…
Just go ahead and call me Wotansson as it works for me, and it fits the general life I lead along with my attitude I reckon. I am here in what I believe you all call the Midwest region…Cheese-head Country, although I used to travel all over the U.S. when work required it.
I took tons of pictures wherever I would go, but damned if time ever permitted me in the past from doing some serious exploratory missions into so many awesome places I have seen. However that is all about to change as it seems all I have is time.
Due to some health issues I was forced to retire totally, which of course allows for more time to skulk around. By the time spring has sprung my old ass should be good to go again to break out the motor home and travel. Got one surgery this month that takes care of tons of problems…at least so they tell me anyhow, and my fluffy ass is on the move like before. Retired, Restless, and Ready!
Ain’t no professional by any stretch of the imagination but I hope to be able to present ya’ll with at least a few good pix. Never be perhaps the quality of some members here. I enjoy the hell out of some of the outstanding photos taken and shared by UER members. That’s it for me.

Hi, I'm Daniel. Born in Raleigh, Nc but have moved all over the country throughout my life.

I'm fairly new to urban exploration, but have taken the occasional trip into an old house, warehouse and the like. I love taking pictures and seeing different things.

Monkeypunchbaby on here pointed me to this site and is one of my best friends ever.

Well, i'll wrap it up for now. Feel free to ask me any questions or give any pointers you'd like to share.

Hi!

I joined awhile ago, but just now have the time to check this site out and start using it. I love anything old, decaying, or historical. I love to photograph places, but most of all I just like to explore. I am pretty much a chicken, so I wont go anywhere alone and miss out on a lot of stuff

Hey all,
I'm Beens. I was born and raised in Toronto, although I'm currently in Waterloo attending university and attempting to get myself an engineering degree.

Growing up my family and I have explored old barns, wandered abandoned logging roads looking for fire towers, climbed fire towers, and come across the ruins of old logging camps. And the brickworks of course.

Within the past year I've done a lot more exploring on my own and with friends. I've hit a bunch of Toronto drains and sewers, and climbed a number of cranes downtown. I've also attempted (unsuccessfully) to access a few abandoned pieces of Toronto's history, the Wellington Destructor, and the Canada Malting Plant, which I found either locked up or inaccessible because they're knocking the damn place down.

I got this account a few months ago but school and work got in the way. I'm really excited to be a part of this community.

So.
I'm a bad person, really. I have been a member since 2007 and so it seems that I haven't even introduced myself. (Haha. and the what to do list states this as an absolute no-no thing to do. 8D)

Basics first. 23-yo female from Helsinki, Finland.
I am somewhat of a loner, mostly because of my scare for people I don't know. Therefore I have not done much exploration with other people in my area even if I had had the chance.

I'm however not new to UE, but I certainly haven't done it much. Moreover I am not doing it for the sake of documenting places with photos or the thrills. My sis is a photographer, so I will leave that to her and I'm a wuss, so no way I'm going anywhere alone especially for thrills.
No, I do it for inspiration. I am a freelance fashion designer and currently studying to become a make-up artist. I need to get my inspiration somewhere right?
In 2006-2007 winter I did my high school art diploma of an abandoned apartment building I happened to come across while visiting my friend in a nearby town. I made a long skirt of white satin and sow pictures I had taken at the location and developed myself. I also embroidered the layout of three different apartments on the skirt. Then I hung the whole thing upside down from the lamp.
So what interests me the most is the layouts.

I have no idea why, but I actually LOVE layouts. But to my disappointment there is hardly any layouts of abandoned buildings.
I have NO idea if anyone else shares my passion for layouts, but I would love to share them as a contribution for the site. I have none worth publishing atm, but when the snow melts I will be more than willing to document in layout form some of my favourite places as well as I can.

Hello, I'm Sraigux! I come from Edmonton! I haven't found much lurking the forums about UE spots, but I'm making a huge list for this summer of places that might have some cool spots. Hit me up with a PM if you are interested in going UEing some time!

Howdy! Name's Tom. I originally hail from New Jersey, but I moved to Massachusetts about a year ago. I just recently got into UrbEx after meeting Keti and a few other people at Medfield State Hospital on New Years Eve.

Hello to all.
I've always
been into checking out abandoned buildings and photographing them, but had no idea there was a group like this until I was staying at someones house over Christmas and stumbled upon a copy of Readers Digest from a few years ago, with a story on UE. Until now I've had to rely on luck to find locations. I'm freaking stoked now. Unfortunately there are few locations near where I live, so will be planning some weekend trips. Here's a few pics in the meantime.
