COOL... Very cool. Funny story about a Benz nearly identical to that (It was the snow that reminded me) about 10 years ago I was wandering a local scrapyard and there was one just it like, with some minor front end damage but very salvageable. I sat in it, played around with the controls a bit, held the steering wheel, then asked the yard owner what he wanted for it. "Oh, we have to burn the interior of that tomorrow because it was buried under snow in the ditch all winter with the dead owner behind the wheel and we can't sell it as a whole because of that." Apparently the owner had a heart attack while driving. I washed my hands after that one. Don't know how true it was but... ew.

probably very true. there are at least two accounts of people going off the road on Interstate 87 between Exits 20 and 26 during the winter and not being found until the summer mowing season (imagine the state worker that finds that treat!).

Photograph taken in Germany, Dresden, June 2011 This was a funny trip! Found this car in the ground-floor of the building. Toke some pictures an go the the 2 level. Than I heard some guys talking and unscrewing some parts of the car... The building had an other door out! thanks! No idea what this is for a car I'm not the "car-loving-guy"

No pics (sorry) but I did find some what looked like a 1950s Chevy that was crumpled in the front and had the top torn off. It was at bottom of a hill that had a road running along the top, looked like it had been there a LOOOONG time. Partially submerged in a creek, wasn't expecting to find it so it was a nice surprise, considering I'm in Mill Bay and the number of interesting things in the vicinity is pretty low. Also found the rear half of a some sort of vintage car (too rusted to tell make/model) not far away from the Chevy. Car crash? Pushed down a hill on purpose?

No pics (because I was in the water) but while inner tubing down a local river, I found a car used to control the erosion of the banks sticking out of the riverbank. It must've been there a looooong time, because the only thing that hadn't been eaten away by rust was the frame, suspension, and engine.
Won't you help me, Mr. Jesus, Won't you tell me, if you can When you see this world we live in, Do you still believe in man? |

These are 3 trucks (2 different black ones) at my Dad's place that have been sitting for about 20 years or so. There are some "before" pics right before they were parked so you can see how they have deteriorated over the years
