he meant 150,000 you meathead.

Ha ha ha YES I did mean 150,000, thanks Sam Ha ha ha

After boasting about my Saturn, I have to replace both Wheel Bearings, and for some reason, in my car they are more expensive than ANY other freaking Domestic that I have ever HEARD of! On the Ion3 Redline, Front Wheel Bearing, actually it's not pressed so guess it's hub style, with ABS is freaking 208.00 each. Thank GOD my buddy is a mechanic and got me cost, still 144.00! Freaking NUTS if you ask me! Glad he will do the work for me and only charge me a 40 of Gibson's Finest

the 'good' wheel bearings for my Cavaliers were over $100.00 US. Always go with the little pricier one with the better warranty. I bought the el cheapo $80 US one; it last 31 days... the fucker at the NAPA wouldn't warranty it.
It was a loooooooooong time before I bought parts at a NAPA again.

GM's love the bolt-in hub-style bearing... in most cases, it's a cakewalk to change. Just make sure you have a hammer and prybar handy. I did two front bearins in a 99 Sunfire last fall... they did NOT want to come out!

There's something with the steering knuckles in the Chev Equinox/Pontiac Torrent that causes the hubs to seize right in. Basically, they aren't coming out without gutting them with a torch first. It's strange, 'cuz they're basically the same as the minivans but the van ones always come apart with a bit of persuasion.

now the Vibe wheel bearings are a flaming douche to get out up here... something about the shit that gets put on the road during the winter reacts badly with the metal of the bearing case and you're on that bearing all day. I would assume this goes with the Matrix as well (same car, same line).

Yeah I am glad it's hub-style, I don't have what I would need if it was pressed. What a pain in the ass!

You need a hub shark and a torch on some. A 10 lb slide hammer on the assys, and an air hammer to turn them when they're really stuck. All tools anyone should own. It's only about $1200 in equipment, pretty cheap if you do a few of them. And as far as ecotech's go, I could do without the 80,000 mi timing chain gernade. Half the buttholes at my shop never wanted to fix them. If they did, I might still be in business. Same with Subaru dampers I have no idea how one would make 500 HP with one of those without a turbo and a 300 shot of squeeze. The NA engines were never known for blistering performance and you needed a calendar to clock their 1/4 mile times.

the first year or so of the L61 Ecotec had issues... most of them were stuffed in Aleros and Grand Am's.

Ah it's the Nissan Bluebird!!

Euro ones were cool because they had these futuristic vents on the back:

And that made them awesome.

Chris...

We all had ostriches. My dad had an ostrich farm! I remember one day someone came in and said the high altitude bombing of Kosovo had been a limited success, so we all went out and celebrated… by killing an ostrich and boiling it in kiwi fruit.

no its a bisexual bike, it needs to be like that so it can fold in half, if it had a crossbar it would not be able to fold.
