Oh... Dear...

Dear, oh dear. Even if I do not know what a Saturn is, that is sad. Sad, sad, sad...

I can see it now! The Uranus GT. That's pretty neat. Kinda like, I am not feeling very well, I think I need to Buick... Even we know that one, even this far away.

But, its now obvious why they only sell Uranus GTs in the US, unless they managed to disguise them and sell them to Canadians too?

heres a few of my 'rides' haha

^^60mph - super fun! not very quiet though, but good for getting into small places and through alleys. the IS300 thats in this picture is my only quiet reliable car HAHAHA

^^ my 61 corvair. quiet, comfortable, fun. not very reliable. haha

^^ my 67 chevy van "war pig". stupid fast, poor fuel economy, loudest car on the road. not very good for lurking around buildings in populated places if you want to be incognito

^^ the hearse. i blew the motor up in this one hahah building a small block 350 for it now. also, not quiet, nor subtle

the show car not withstanding, Saturns were actually a very good car as was the ownership experience. Most Saturn owners were rabidly loyal to the brand and to hear of mileage well beyond 300,000 was not unheard of.

I never understood the owner loyalty... they're boring, ugly cars with about a much character (and build quality) as a Becel margarine container, and as many squeaks and rattles as a toddler's toy box.

I always looked at them as cars for lemmings who couldn't afford a Legacy wagon.

(With the exception of the Astra and the Sky)

Durdan is that motor missing its scuttle plate?

Chris...

We all had ostriches. My dad had an ostrich farm! I remember one day someone came in and said the high altitude bombing of Kosovo had been a limited success, so we all went out and celebrated… by killing an ostrich and boiling it in kiwi fruit.

but they turn ridiculous trouble-free miles
have a great ownership experience
and have kitsch to them.

a friend of mine has an 01 or 03 SC2 and loves it.
it's 1.9L DOHC does more than any 1.9L DOHC has any right to.

Very true, my first Saturn was a 2001 SL1 and it's still going strong, my ex has it, and it's got 15000 on it, only replacement needed has been the clutch and even that would have been fine if she didn't ride it
I have my saturn, they are a well built care, no complaints. Too bad this is their last year!

Couldn't afford a Legacy? You must mean they couldn't afford to keep replacing crank dampers, cranks, and woodruf keys, OR welded keyways. I'd pick a Saturn over a Subaru for that reason alone.

I've worked as a mechanic for Subaru and GM- one is way better than the other. And here's a hint... they never built any Saturns.
