i actually wouldn't recommend carrying knives and multi-tools while exploring. if you get caught, those items could be considered B&E tools...

Gerber Paraframe II. Sturdy, stays sharp, and it's inexpensive enough that I won't be bummed if I lose it.

So could just about anything, including stuff that was onsite before you got there..
Personally I wouldn't ever go out without it, too useful of a tool to just blindly ditch..

I bought it specifically for the 'grappling hook' attachment.

I got mine for the fold-out emergency mobile hospital unit. I'd be dead without it.

In Michigan Central Station, we found a weapon that looked like a brass knuckles size version of this. Only, it was serrated.

Personally, I only carry a switchspork.

I would say it would be okay to carry a small knife under 4 inches. Small knifes don't raise much suspicion because they are very common. If you really want to be safe, carry the tiny Swiss army knife with the fingernail file, nail file and tweezers. Those tiny Swiss army knifes are not big enough to be used as B&E tools.

Why do you need a knife for ??

AHAHAHAHAAHAHHAH....haaahaha...ha.

In all seriousness, that is coincidentally the exact same make of knife that I carry, as well.

You need a knife so you can make a quality dinner. Preferably in a drain or asbestos filled room.

I will occasionally carry my Kershaw Ken Onion Cyclone, but for the most part a Leatherman Wave will get you through thick and thin no matter what you are doing. One of the advantages of having family in the Portland Oregon area is that Gerber, Kershaw and Leatherman are all there.

I very seldomly carry knives, matter of fact only on one occasion have I carried a knife and it was just a small one I had on me the couldnt cut a slice of bread. The only reason I had it with me was becuase I put it in my pocket earlier in the day and forgot all about it.

So in other worlds I usally dont carry any wepons.
