| | | Gerber 600 multipliers do it for me, easy one hand opening. The blade is sufficient for anything utility related, the snips work great on wire.

| | | The tanto point, plus the awesome thick Ka-Bar blade, make it great for prying and jimmying.

| | | I don't carry anything on me like that. I'm worried about being searched. I have a crowbar that I don't bring for the same reason. They can charge me with trespassing if they catch me with just a camera. If you get caught with knife longer than the law in your area permits, you could get written up for that as well.

Pretty much just a newer version of the Leatherman e301 (see my post above). Nice knives overall. They have a nice flip lever in the back that flips the knife open quick and easy.

| | | Posted by elrais What knife do you use (if any) when exploring or for other purposes? My knife I got a year ago is a gerber gator. It's got great grip and kept it's blade. I mostly use it for camping trips. http://images.rock...oint_Fine_Edge.jpg

I have the same exact knife. Dont take it exploring though. I'm pretty sure it's over the legal size too..
