I live in the Parker/Wise/Tarrant county region, we literally live on the line between all three...which is why I'm more the happy getting out, it sucks over here. We just got the deed to our new house though so soon I'll be completely in Tarrant county, just waiting on tax returns so we can drop the first payment.

I've been meaning to meet up with a group for a loooong time but haven't had the time to spare, or couldn't make it for one reason or another. One question though, and if a meeting does actually take place and I am actually able to attend, I suppose it could be addressed there.. FallenInWonderland pointed out a few drains and whatnot he wants to check out. So here's my question: Where on earth do people find these drains and tunnels and whatnot? I've seen amazing pictures of old stone and brick and mortar tunnels from the turn of the 20th century and I really want to see something like that first hand, but have absolutely no idea where to look... so, where?

When is the next meet up?

They are usually the first Saturday of every month, but maybe the next one can be the 2nd Saturday so I can attend?

Is it going to be second Saturday...or is it still in the air?

As far as I know it's supposed to be the second sunday, so all the people who can't go on saturday can attend and so Happiedaze would be able to attend as well, because we need more women, I feel very outnumbered.

Actually, I said the first Sunday, but heck, second Sunday is fine if there's that many folks in favor (especially if some of those folks are female). I'll adjust the event listing. That's May 10, and I don't see anything else on my schedule that day. The Rangers aren't even in town.

Now, to figure out where...

If you make it on a Sunday I will for sure without a doubt be there. I'm not a girl though

And then, it asks the question: in a cold, uncaring, ruthless world of corporate slavery and assembly-line experiences . . . how is it possible to still live a life with strength, and passion, and with a soul that is still truly alive?

At this point, he could just wear a dress. We're dying for female companionship here, and it's not fair for Nixxy to be carrying the X-chromosome load for the entire group!

(Or maybe it's not so bad, and I just need a date.)

Hmm...

You know when someone is divorced and they get their kids on certain weekends... is it every 1st, 3rd and 5th weekend? I may have just dug myself a hole here. I'm not sure when my step kids are here.. I mean when they're here, I KNOW they're here. What I'm saying is, if this falls on a weekend when all the kids are here, I can't go. I have to take them home on Sundays, as their dad works all day on Sunday.

hopefully you'll be able to make this next one, since it'll be the second sunday. Though where it is still hasn't been decided, Oak Cliff was a suggested spot that might be nice, if anyone has ideas though we still have time.

Oak Cliff sounds fun. I'm up for anything

Hunky's is really, really good -- and they even have veggie burgers, though we all seem to be the red meat type 'round here. I'll point the Event Listing at the joint, and we'll see if anyone objects.

Edit: What time do we want to meet? We may want to start early, because there's an area of interest nearby...

I love areas of interest. I'd say lunch time would be best, that way we can have plenty of light for exploring afterwards.
