True that...I just moved from the D80 to the D300 and couldn't be happier!

Last call... if nobody takes ownership of Nov 1, I'll move the date to Dec 6. Also, I'll set the time for after dark, since it would be hard to meet during the day and still hope for daylight extracurriculars.

I guess since I lost my job I could probably try to take it if no one else will. If I do take it does any one think they will be able to make it ether Nov 1st or Nov 2nd?

I'm looking for a good place to have it

I went ahead and rescheduled for December. We should be pretty well done with bug season by then.

Oops, it's almost time for the automated messages to go out, and we don't have a location! Or a time!

Let's go for Dallas again. I took the family to Campisi's "Egyptian Room" recently, and it was very good. They've been a Dallas fixture for like a couple hundred years, so I don't think we'll show up and find out that they've become an abandonment. Their oval-shaped pizza is unique, reasonably priced, and delicious, but they also have a full Italian menu -- in fact, when my bunch went there, we forgot to order any pizza at all.

Campisi's Egyptian Lounge
5610 E. Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, TX 75206
Phone : 214.827.0355 main 214.821.4982 fax
www.campisis.us

Train: Blue Line or Red Line to Mockingbird Station. Walk towards Taco Bell and go another block down Mockingbird.

As for time... it's getting dark early, so we may as well meet up on the late side, since we're not going to be doing anything afterwards that requires daylight. How about 6pm, so that we can get a good table before the dinner rush? And per suggestion, we need a unique name to put the reservation under. I thought about using one from this list, but perhaps I'd better not...

That is the original campisi's and it's only a few blocks from my house. I'm a newbie to the forums but I would like to attend and meet everyone.

One week from tomorrow, and the event stats are shaping up pretty much as usual:

RSVP'd Yes: 1 (me)
RSVP'd Maybe: 5
RSVP'd No: 2

There could be a half dozen, or I could find myself enjoying my pizza alone. Cool, I love surprises!

I don't know why, but I haven't received my usual PM from the Events System alerting me to tomorrow's meetup! So pencil us in if you can:

Campisi's Egyptian Lounge
5610 E. Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, TX 75206
Phone : 214.827.0355 main 214.821.4982 fax
www.campisis.us

Train: Blue Line or Red Line to Mockingbird Station. Walk towards Taco Bell and go another block down Mockingbird.

When you get there, ask for the table for Amanda. If there's not one, then grab a few seats and, if you're lucky, someone else will show up eventually. If there's more than one Amanda, ask for Amanda Hugankis and a waiter will be with you shortly.

Don't forget: TIME CHANGE TO 6PM! If you show up at 4, just wait a while. Someone might be there in a couple of hours. Save us some beer.
