I saw a vw Kit car like this before...I think it was called a '32 Roadmaster? Don't know what car it's based off of but that Red car looks like whatever it is. I'll see if I can find my photos of it and post them up later.

The Mustang II was only produced from 1974 to 1978. This is a 75+ model. How can you tell? The grille on the 74 had a smaller pattern as the car was only equipped with a 2.3L I4 or a 2.8L V6. In 1975, as a lure to more buyers who absolutely required a V8, Ford installed the tried and true 302 under the hood which required a larger opening for the bigger radiator. Don't get excited by that... this engine was down to 135hp. Truly dark days for Detroit, or in this case, Dearborn. Other than interior trim/decor options, the 75-78's were pretty identical.

my father has a 78 hatchback sitting at his garage. It was originally a 2.8L V6 car, but somewhere along the way, someone yanked that out and put a 302 in it. The car is remarkably solid for the year, but has been sitting for close to 15 years now. He just can't seem to make up his mind what he wants to do with it.

Buddy had a 76 notch back with the 302 and auto with a white vinyl top and white interior. It was a blue color. Really nice. We wrenches on it and it was a very formal looking Mustang. I always like the little Pinto Mustang of the 70's.

Found this in the fall at the side of what used to be a road, and is now a four wheeler trail. You occasionally run into people trying to take the road in unsuitable vehicles because they're following their GPS, which things it's a through road still...

a couple of years ago, a friend and I were riding a limited maintenance road on dirtbikes and atv's (i was on a 2002 Yamaha Warrior 350, he was on a Honda CR250R). Now, you had to have at the very least a beat Subaru for this road. So we're screaming down the hill, round a corner and there is a Ford Fusion with two elderly women in the car. Cody almost eats the car, I got slowed down (warrior wasn't near as fast as that CR). Come to find out their GPS told them that this was a road and it would take them to a pond where there was a state campsite. The only way they were getting to that pond on this road was with a trail-capable ATV.

i don't trust GPS... I trust Mr. Rand and Mr. McNally.
(well, that's not 100% true... )

got the photos. took me a while to find them because they were in the un-named files I salvaged from a dying hard drive. But yeah...it looks very similar to this 32 Roadmaster VW Kitcar.

It looks just like it. Missing a bunch of parts. I think the car was used for parts and stored. Shame nobody will restore it, Its a cool looking car.

it seems like VW's were always trying to kill me... maybe that is why I have such an aversion to them.
