Went mountain biking on Sunday, popped my back tire three miles in and had to walk my bike back out. Took the horse trail back since I didn't want to walk against the flow of traffic on the bike trail and I stumbled across this. No idea how it got so deep in the woods but I'd say it's been there for a while...

There's the crazy one, the photographer, and me, the driver, a mix of both. And we're a pretty kickass team if I do say so myself.

Things rust a lot slower out here with the low humidity

we used to have a WHOLE bunch of abandoned cars around here, but many have been stolen by scrappers with trucks, including some real serious classic cars. It's rather saddening. This was my favorite, a 1960's Ford Custom 500. Took it before I even had my proper DSLR camera.

Every building and site has a story, and they are often of mistakes. Learn from them before they are gone forever.

Love that old Ford. There's a lot close to home here I'd love to get on and get some pictures. There's cars with trees growing up through them, and cars dating back to the 30's. Its a shame they aren't even good for parts.

This early 50s Nash Rambler Convertible resides in a overgrown field by my buddies cabin. It has been there a VERY long time. Old farm implements, car parts and other things are scattered around these old overgrown farm fields. It's a fun place to walk around, especially in the spring before the pricker bushes take over.
