| | | Hey everyone. I've been into UE for about a year, and I've been lurking the forums for a while. I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm a student in Columbia, SC. We have a small urbex/draining group there. So far we've found most of the sites we've visited on our own, but we're starting to run out of locations, so I decided to start seeing what I could dig up here.

| | | Hi all. I've been reading about urban exploring for a while on sites such as infiltration.org, and now finally some of my friends are interested in going with me sometime. And then I found this site and joined it. Now we just have to get to the actual exploring, haha.

| | | Hey everyone. I've been into the whole UE scene for awhile, I just recently found this site and joined it. I live in SE Pennsylvania and have gone to most of the locations in the area, so I'm pretty much looking for new places and finding new ones on my own in the meantime. wordd. [:

| | | Hello all! My name is Brian (aka - PorkChopExpress). I actually joined this site three years ago. Kinda' strange to find it again. I remember that I never received a confirmation e-mail, and could never sign in. Shortly after that my old computer went 'BOOM'! So I bought a new one, got into other things (life), and forgot all about the site. A week or so ago, I found the site (again), and tried to sign up. I was shocked when it stated that I already have an account! It was like finding a long lost item from your past! I'm very happy that I was never deleted, and that I am finally on! I have actually been into UE since I was a child. I'm sure that most people here also started when they were kids. I have many memories of exploring old houses. My favorite will always be my great, great grandparent's home. I have a few old photos somewhere. I will scan and post them as soon as I get the chance.
Thanks for having me! Brian

| | | Hi everybody! I do UE adventures more than a year I live in a small country in Europe - Latvia (I think that no one actually knows where it's located but maybe someone knows Baltic states) When I wrote a school project about UE, I started to read this forum. As I see, here are many talented photographers and many crazy people who just love UE. Great forum, more information and uer.ca has amazing stories to read.

| | | Hi, New Member here from Calgary, Alberta. I've been into abandoned places, suspected haunted locations and the like for some time now. I'm pretty new to Alberta and am exploring the locations in Central and Southern Alberta. Not much listed on the Internet - but there is a goldmine of locations out this way. I prefer Rural Exploration. Hope to meet up with a few fellow Albertans to explore the area.

| | | Hey! Well, I guess I have nothing to fear here, so I can safely spill myself without worrying about the proverbial banstick I'm from Fresno, CA (USA), and I've been a UE nut since before I even knew what UE was. But due to my dislike of doing things that "aren't permitted" like entering a "no trespassing" area, I never have had the ability to actually go somewhere and enjoy it. Let me tell you, there's nothing more fascinating to me than seeing a building without the social structure behind it... seeing the mechanisms behind a building without being a repair guy, or going wherever I want without needing to have "permission"! Especially seeing things from a past age gone unused and forgotten, stuck in a time capsule of neglect and abandon. I just never had the chance to explore. Until recently... my best friend is a security guard and the company he works with tends to be assigned to abandoned buildings and whatnot - just the same company that seems to tend to the "24 hour guard" buildings in the UE DB. Well, one day I asked this guy, my friend, if I can hang out with him at "work" for a while - aka sitting there, playing Eve and chatting on his laptop. Well, we didn't sit there and veg for long on his laptop... after seeing where he was working that night, which was a previously abandoned hotel (for like, 20 years) that's being remodeled into a high class hotel, we set off exploring. First place we went was to the 9th (top) floor and got to check out the view of the whole city from the 9th floor balcony. That was awesome. Then we went into the parking garage (lowest floor) and got to see a COMPLETELY abandoned parking garage, brought to us by an elevator that we had to stick a brick in the door to keep open (because it had no button!). Then we went into the machinery rooms and got to see the EPIC MASSIVE systems that brought heating, cooling, electricity, and hot water to the building. Finally, took a tour of the being-remodeled 2nd floor pool and spa (eerily empty and very old, neglected), and... well... dang. There's just too much to talk about, all brought to me by my friend, a security guard. Oh man, I had to have that job. He's pretty much promised me a job, because the company needs people, and I _love_ that job. So now that my #1 problem (allergy to "no trespassing" signs) is over with, well, now I can actually begin enjoying UE myself! And man, I am so looking forward to getting that job. So hi! Man am I glad to be here, and looking forward to contributing what I can to the site!

| | | 'ello everyone. I stumbled on UER after poking around the net for pictures of old haunted places, and I'd never really heard of urban exploration before. I'm pretty interested in starting to UE places, though unfortunately I live in a really rural area and there's not much here except for a few old mills and a ton of old houses. My sister and I took a few pictures of an old school not far from where I live though, and she or I'll post them sometime. So far I've just been checking out the pictures and thinking about what I'll do camera-wise, as ours is just a plain digital point-and-shoot. (Only 5 MP, I was hoping to get into film or get a better digital.) I really love the site and I hope to get some pics up soon. :]
A newbie to Urban Exploring, but interested in learning more about it. :) |

| | | Hi! I've been checking this site out for a while, but I haven't really done any exploring yet. I'm from Winnipeg, Canada, but I moved to Ireland last year, and I'm moving to Scotland in September. So far, I've only been to a couple of graveyards, mostly in Scotland, because I don't have a car. If anyone wants to maybe meet up, or let me tag along, just let me know... Thanks!

| | | Hey everyone, I'm new here but not to exploration. My passion is drains, but I've also visited many abandonment's over the years and I've recently become interested in live sites. I just moved to Toronto from Caledon and I'm quite surprised with the number of fellow explorers in the city! I'm looking forward to discussing my favorite hobby with all of you. -Monst

| | | Heyas I'm from Brisbane Australia, recently started traveling internationally and I'm in Canada to work for awhile. I've been exploring in the modern sense regularly for a few years but have been crawling in and out of drains and on and off rooftops for almost as long as I can remember. Apart from that weird period where I got all mature and stuff anyway. I got over that thank god I work in IT (who doesn't eh?) and screw about with a camera amongst other things. I'm based in Vancouver for at least the next six months and keen on finding some like minded people to explore with. Easy going and happy to explore anything with anyone who isn't stupidly reckless.

| | | Howdy, I am DJ McBastard. I am a complete n00b to UE exploring but I am very much looking forward to learning what I can and diving further into the community here. I have always been interested in abandoned places as I grew up in the rust belt of Midwestern America where lots of buildings and factories shut down when Japanese Steel drove large segments of American Steel out of business in the 1970's/80's. I remember being about 5 years old and my grandfather took me to see an abandoned amusement park. He of course, didn't let me walk around or go in, but just admiring the "roller coaster to no-where" from afar created a long obsession with the beauty of abandoned and lost things. (Damn, that sounds goth, LOL) Uhm this fascination was further driven home by my involvement with the Rave Scene. I have been going to parties for well over a decade, at the tail end of the warehouse era. I wish I had gotten into the scene early, but oh well. I found it amazing how ravers reclaimed these forgotten spaces for parties truly inspiring. Luckily, most of these are just non-descript warehouses as the downside is they tended to trash them. But for the most part, warehouse/illegals only happen on a tiny scale because they get busted by the cops so quickly in America, at least. Other hobbies are: break dancing, electro, breakbeats, queer liberation, reading, photography, airbrushing, cooking vegan food, making out with hot latino cubs/bears, roller coasters, Animal Rights activism, reading too damn much, video games, blah blah blah. I honestly probably won't post here tons because I am a mod on another forum and that eats up tons of my time. But I do plan to at least be an active member here. Looking forward to exploring! --Deej
