| | | | Hello all, I've been browsing around for a bit, figured it was time for an introduction.
I'm Steve aka "The Driver", the name comes from an old movie. Exploring interests me as I've have always like old buildings and Architecture. I live right near Hamilton Ontario, so there is no shortage of places to explore. It always interests me to wonder what the story is behind some places. Why were they left to rot, and sometime with the most interesting and unusual items inside.
Hamilton has some disappearing industry and I work in a semi abandoned Industrial complex. It used to be part of one of the biggest employers in Hamilton back in the day, and empty plants and buildings still exist through out the industrial core. Thats a story for another time. One day I will sneak away while at work, and get some pics. Its a weird feeling being there every day, peeling paint, broken windows, a goose residence...yet the power is on and we're open for business in one tiny corner. Makes me laugh. This experience got me more interested in abandoned Industries.

I remember as a little girl being so intrigued by any abandoned buildings and homes I came across when my parents would go for long drives in the country. As I grew up, I would love taking pics and exploring these forgotten structures. Now that I am on my own, I love driving around and finding new places to check out, and visiting old favorites. I hope to meet some other explorers in the NC area and make new friends in the process. So thanks for reading my intro and hope to hear from some of you guys soon!
