Posted by bandi There was a guy like that around here, he had close to 300 cars from the 30's to the early 70's, and would not sell ANYTHING, he was gonna fix them all. The last time I spoke to him he was 95 and still had plans to restore everything- he died and everything was crushed on site last summer.

That's really sad actually. If only the guy would have had some foresight perhaps some of the cars could have been saved. Or provided parts for people if nothing else. Sounds like his family wanted nothing to do with them and it was quickest and easiest to just crush everything. Very sad though.
This guy is around the same age. Seems like most of the old car hoarder guys are really getting up there in age.
Quite a few of the cars have already been hauled off the property, scrapped most likely. He told us if we saw anything we were interested in to let him know. He was telling us about all his recent health problems, sounds like he really needs the money now.
There is middle aged guy living on the property in a ramshackle trailer. We assume he is a grandson or something. He has Alabama plates on his truck so we just refer to him as "Alabama Man". We think he is the one hauling the cars off and scrapping them. It's a bit of a weird situation, as these kind of properties generally are.
