my mothers ex-boyfriend had a Gold Duster, in gold, amazingly enough. Had the leaning tower of power under the hood with an automatic transmission. Loved that ugly car.

They aren't thought of as attractive, but find the right stance balance between stock grandma and douche nozzle w/ air shocks jacked to the skies, I think they actually look pretty cool!

For the gnarly unknown, I think we are looking at a 1962 AMC Rambler Ambassador. No engine options, only a 327 with 2bbl or the optional 4bbl...

The tail light ribs down the rear quarter indeed match. You are correct sir.

Wow, it has been quite some time since I posted on here! I have been trying to get these photos to upload for a while. I found some old Fargos while putting some things in storage. (Not sure if that is considered abandoned but they look like they have been there a while.) Also an old Mustang.

2.

This Mustang had a 'Cobra' sticker on the rear. Does anyone know how to tell if this is authentic? Just curious.

that mustang is a beat to shit 1985-86 GT... nothing special.
83 had a hood bulge and vee'd nose.
84 had just the vee'd nose
85-86 looked like this.
87-93 were a re-design with much rounder shapes.
1994 was the complete redesign on the Fox4 chassis

1993 was the only year for the Cobra... it had a different rear spoiler, wheels that looked like they were yanked off a Thunderbird and, ironically, 1983-1986 taillights.

and no one in their right mind would park an actual 93 Cobra in the middle of nowhere in that condition.

any questions?

Nope. That more than covers it. Thanks for the history lesson on Mustangs. I have never been a big fan of Mustangs but lately they have been growing on me. Still, I prefer German cars. Thanks again!

The coat? The bar? It had a minimal custom frame, and an air cooled engine presumably from a Beetle. It was not built to be sea-worthy. I am guessing it was built for parades...

Clowns are creepy as eff. Friend to Crippled Children doesn't help. Must have hailed from the era when mentally ill were referred to as imbeciles and feeble minded and "white only" water fountains and bathrooms...

No history that I could find. There is a clown that goes by the same name in another state, but does not appear to be related. If I had to guess, it likely wasn't a clown for hire per say, more likely they were parade clown cars for the local Kiwanis or Shriners club.
