Going by the video, if that mural on the side has been sitting out under the weather as long as that van has, I'll eat my camera.

Agreed. The word "reality" is a joke in reality TV. While the story has been picked up by every news outlet out there, I am skeptical none the less.

Meet the Eagle Summit, aka Dodge Colt, aka Plymouth Colt. Built as the Mitsubishi Mirage, and re-branded by Chrysler under the Dodge, Plymouth, and Eagle brands. A heap of ball-less garbage when brand new, these thing had a hard time getting out of their own way. If you kept oil in them, they would indeed run forever. But with a 1.5L barely squeaking out 80hp, who would want to? You don't see things on the road anywhere anymore. If they didn't seize up from a careless owner who doesn't check oil regular, they rust themselves to pieces.

A fun side note: Harley-Davidson's new "Milwaukee Eight" big twin engine has 3 models, with the SMALLEST of the 3 being 1750cc. a full 250cc bigger than this heap of forgotten oil belching garbage.

Also rebadged as the (somewhat ironically titled) Suzuki Swift for European markets.

Swift, she is not. But she does seems to get around! Suzuki played with a 3cyl engine for a while - I wonder if swift-less was even swift-lessier in Europe....

But a 4G63 will bolt in with ease and then you have a (still oil belching because Mitsubishi) little screamer that nobody will ever suspect. The paint restoration guy that sometimes comes to my work has a stock looking one with close to 300hp.

around 2003, or so, Sport Compact Car featured one of these cars, albeit a sportier trim livel, with the 4G63 swap that was built to insane amounts of power. Problem was getting it to hook up. It was in a sleeper issue...

Suzuki Swift, oh yea they sold these at a local Dodge dealership alongside that hilarious jeep looking thing. I bought 2 base "Swift"s brand new $6,000 out the door. They lasted for years w/no mechanical probs. Wouldn't get out of the their own way and could be dangerous if you needed to move quickly.

Opel GT! Rare, very attractive little cars (with really neat rotating hideaway headlights) and absolutely worthless for some reason.

Because it was a 3/4 scale vette that was extremely slow and had......questionable build quality, even for the time period😂
