I will start by buying argonian and kowalski 2 UER lights each. I would like them to have the little UER light icon next to their names.
Hopefully that will so offend them both that they will pack up and go, because frankly, I will be able to get along just fine without their contributions.
So, $24 (includes shipping price for 2 addresses) for 2 lights to argonian and 2 to kowalski. I'll throw in another $20 for a tip, as long as Av promises to use it on himself and not towards the server debt.

I would really like to treat it as a purchase FROM Argonian and Kowalski, so that they get ALL of the benefits, the removal of the banner AND, much more importantly, the little UER light icon.

Done! I've fudged the database so the purchases seem to have come from their accounts -- they no longer see the banner, and they both now have the little keychain light icon.

It shouldn't need to be said, but for those pulling out the old "people take this shit far too seriously" herring, I take it about as seriously as everything else. Which means that I'm going to say seriously that the banner looks tacky and is unnecessary, obnoxious and shows an unfortunate level of disrespect for the user base, but I'm not tearing my eyes out or crying in a corner. Next time, please recognize that I take this place exactly as seriously as I need to, and no further.

Av, please turn off the flag in the MySQL that disables the banner. I'd like it back. I find it quite attractive and visually appealing, and adds a nice little touch of color to my page.
