They are. They're sold at our local computer stores for only a dollar. (I own two). Same features and intensity. Only diff is the UER sticker on the back. Plus you have a variety of LED colors to choose from (blue, red, green, white, etc.). 
But it's good to support UER too.

There's a lot of copycats out there -- I assure you the UER ones are of higher quality.
I'd wager a bet that the dollar ones do not have lithium batteries in them, but alkaline.

the one's i have are from the dollar store (bought three) and have lithium batteries. not all dollar stores carry the same one's, however. you have to pry it open and look. i was lucky to find mine where i did. they do have a really great brightness to them.
but, if you can spend the cash, get one from here. i have an engraver so i engraved some stuff onto mine including a flower. yeah yeah shut up!
oh AND i got the engraver from the dollar store. that thing works GREAT!
cool lights though.

I was shining it in peoples eyes and they didnt seem to like it. then I accidentally did it to myself. it doesnt blind you, just really hurts and leaves speckles.
