Anyplace else, my approach shoes (shoes made for light hiking and low difficulty rock climbing):
It seemed like a good idea at the time... |

When I know that it will be wet and icky I wear barn boots. These can be had at any farm supply store. Just below the the knees and waterproof. I get home hose them off and chuck em in the basement. About 20 bucks. There are others that I have found at fishing stores that would work as well and go a bit higher but I am not fond of draining or getting into alot of gross stuff so I don't need anything higher than my knees. A mirage is not an optical illusion. It is a real phenomenon, and one can take photographs of it. The interpretation of the image, however, is up to the fantasy of the human mind. |

| | | i like the adidas ali trainers...good for running, climbing, sneaking and what not. if my feet are going to get wet i'll sport my adidas mali water shoes. they are basically sneakers with drain holes for water to drain, they are also made to grip and give good traction on wet surfaces which also allow running, climbing and all that good stuff. adidas rocks!

| | | Just go explore barefoot. Sure, it hurts a little but at least you will not ruin your shoes if you walk on that big rusty nail sticking out of the floor.

great for climbing, wont fall off your feet, but breath and are not uncomfortably tight..A+ shoes. (con, when they wear out they tell you. They squeak around the ball, especially on tile flooring)

| | | Forgive me for laughing. You don't need "hard core" boots. I have yet to encounter a location where cheap ass runners from K-Mart, Target or the local discount shop would not do. Just buy some socks and put them on before you put on your shoes. Yeah, it's that simple. Oh, and if you wear them in drains, dry them out and only ever use them for draining. You don't need super hero boots to get into UE. Now if some one mentions tabi boots....

| | | I wear a pair of steel toed boots that I got at Walmart for $20.00. Around abandoned structures there is alway much debris. I wouldn't feel safe wearing sandals to most places I've been.
If you ever fall off the Sears Tower, just go real limp, because maybe you'll look like a dummy and people will try to catch you because, hey, free dummy |
