Not the greatest for stopping nails but they are good for climbing and cheap.

| | | Posted by Panic! Forgive me for laughing. You don't need "hard core" boots. I have yet to encounter a location where cheap ass runners from K-Mart, Target or the local discount shop would not do. Just buy some socks and put them on before you put on your shoes. Yeah, it's that simple. Oh, and if you wear them in drains, dry them out and only ever use them for draining. You don't need super hero boots to get into UE. Now if some one mentions tabi boots....
|
I still stand by anything that has a shank.. I've been in too many places with nails all over hell.. I doubt thats as much of a risk in drains, but I don't really drain at all.. and an older footwear thread: http://www.uer.ca/...d=23048&currpage=1

OMG I donated a pair like that to Sally Ann's. Darn near broke my ankle going down a wet loading dock in the freakin things.
A mirage is not an optical illusion. It is a real phenomenon, and one can take photographs of it. The interpretation of the image, however, is up to the fantasy of the human mind. |

I suppose since this in the rookie forum, and I should show some seriousness ... I wear either military desert boots, or my comfy and warm Columbia hikers. But I have checked out a location, or two, with only a pair of sneaks.
