Howdy.

Chris from Niagara Falls, NY here. Nice to discover these forums and webpage, though I must admit I hadn't really looked for it!

I first explored decaying structures at around age 10 with friends messing around just outside NYC. Did my first storm drain at about the same time. Now at age 25 I've bought my very own decayed apartment building. Sadly it is to rebuild it not preserve it (tho its not really interesting enough to preserve). So I moved here kind of on a whim (don't know anyone here) and I am looking for fun stuff to do!

I'd love to meet up with some people around Western NY/South Eastern Ontario for some exploring. I'm in great shape, I have a vehicle, and I'm not a serial killer so send me a message and lets explore!

Hello everyone!

My name is Alex. I was turned on to UE in 2006 when me and some friends played airsoft in an abandoned TB hospital in Maryland called Glenn Dale. I wasnt into it as much as now but it still was a great experience.
Ever since, I have been looking for great spots to explore and I love it! Im fairly new here so I thought I'd post here to get to acclimate myself here. I cant wait to post my hundreds of pictures of an old abandoned complex of what was a school then a hospital. Anyway, hello and happy exploring!

Hey, my name is Daniel, but InAscent will be fine. I've been exploring since grade school. Living in the Nevada desert leaves you with little other choices. The storm drain systems are amazing down here in Vegas.

I became serious about UE only about a year ago, in Reno, NV where I go to school. I've recently completed a photo project in relatione to UE. My project is still going for anyone who lives in the Reno or Las Vegas area. I give free prints away to people who explore sites that I post on the blog. The link is here:

My personal blog detailing my antics can be found Here:

www.MyCellar-Door.blogspot.com

I hope the 7 days I waited to be able to post will be worth it. From what I've read and seen on the site so far, it will be.

Hi,

New here and wanted to introduce myself. I've been looking for whats behind or below that door, fence, or wall all my life. I'm located just south of Charlotte NC. Lots of great structures from the textile industry in this area to explore. A friend new of this site and in a way it seemed to good to be true. I've only met a couple of people in my life who had any interest in my explorations and only one who was actually up for it. Very glad to find so many who share the same urge to explore.

G'day people,

Awesome site ,Im a new member from down under.
Didnt realise that so many of you guys loved UE. Been checking the site for the last couple of months now and cant get enough of it.
As you know it can be hard to find people to go UE with,so if you live in Adelaide, Australia and are keen to go exploring or know any places ,drop me a line.

Hello, I've been lurking for a long time and as of yesterday I finally found a location to explore. You should see a full account in the next day or so, but I just posted in the rookie forum.

As an observer I have really enjoyed UE and now I can say as a UE I love it.

I have to mention that it was Motts and his photos that brought me here as well as the old Infiltration Zine.

I'm bummed that I missed so many locations. I have no interest in seeing the empty fields, or even worse, the condo developments, so I am looking to meet new friends to go exploring with and find killer locations.

In my spare time I make crapy low budget indi films and cheap music videos.

Hello, my name is Bryant and I am new to this site. Not new to exploration, but never realized this was considered to be a hobby. Anyways from and live in Lincoln Nebraska. Love photography, history, and exploring. I've been to a hand full of farm houses, barns, a prison, a junior high school, and a few storm water drains. If anyone in the area would meet up, I would be happy to meet new people.

My job for the team is usually sweep and also sniper work when we come into contact with not so friendly people.(not with realy firearms dont worry) we use Co2 and high powered AEG airsoft rifles to cause the scare.the more the challenge the more I great it. hope to speak with you all soon

Hey guys, brand new to the site (well, I signed up 6 months ago and got busy with a lot of other things) and the hobby as a whole! My name is Sean, and I'm currently 19 living in Oregon as a part time college student.

I found the site while looking for abandoned buildings on the interwebs after finding a particularly cool old house quite near to my own. I spent a good hour or so inside just looking at things, wandering around, and snapping photos. Little did I know this was actually a hobby and there was a base of people interested. My friends seemed pretty bored while we were there, while I was frothing at the mouth trying to figure out where the next old, empty building was.

So here I am. I'm working right now on getting a kit together and reading up on the basics of the hobby. I'm also trying to enlist some friends to go along with me on explorations, as the key thing I've found is that a small group is far safer and more fun than soloing it. the past few days I've been wondering about a possible road trip across to some more UE friendly areas, and I'm going to be spending the next few weeks checking out possible plans for that.

I'm new, I'm eager, and just thinking about heading into an abandoned mental asylum with 2-3 good friends and a gas mask turns me on.

Hi everybody... I'm Myles (aka airmyles13), from the Edmonton, Alberta area. I'm 20 years old and a student at the University. I've been browsing this site for a long time now, so I figured I'd better show my face and make a mark. I really enjoy reading other people's stories and (of course) viewing their photos. Although I haven't done much UEing, I have been to a few possible UE locations... some are on this site, others aren't. I'm eager to do some UEing, and hope to meet some people to do some exploration with.

Hi. My name's Tiffani and I'm from Loris (30mi from Myrtle Beach) SC. As you can see from my star, I've been lurking for quite some time now. This is my second post (my first was a rather embarrassing question about timed exposures vs multiple exposures in the photography section). I have 3 children, 6, 5, and 8 1/2 mos, so getting out to 'splore isn't as easy as I'd like, but I'm working on allocating some time to be able to do that when the kids are all taken care of and my boyfriend is available to go with me. UE photographs are actually what inspired me to take up photography, and I'm hoping to be able to go out this weekend to do a little of both. Anywho, so that's me I guess. I'm a little shy, so hopefully I can overcome that a little bit and post more

Hello,

I'm obviously new, have not been lurking much longer than the obligatory week before you are allowed to post, and have to say that this is a cool board from what little time I've had to observe.

Being in Northern New York I can't say I've had much experience with UE as of yet, and certainly not much in the way of grandiose locations, so any suggestions about local stuff is always appreciated.
