OMG that was the longest 7 days ever! I'm a self-proclaimed noob at UE'ing. I have no experience but I'm fascinated at the idea of being able to photograph beautiful interiors of abandoned architecture. I do have a degree in Interior Design with emphasis on architecture and I've taken photography classes in H.S. and college but never really considered taking photography further until now. I have a Nikon Coolpix 8700 for now so hopefully tha will do well to get me started.

I repair laptops/desktops as my profession as well as DJ at a club part-time. If you lived in Dallas during the 90s and early 2000s you might have heard me spin at the now defunct Village Station nightclub. On the side, my partner and I love the outdoors and go camping quite frequently, albeit it is in an RV . We live in far North Dallas in the lovely (cough) suburb city of Garland and would love to meet up with anyone in the DFW area to watch and learn.

Hopefully that wasn't too much info for a first-time post. I can't even describe how excited I am to locate my first UE site and get some photos!

Maybe I'll get a chance to meet some of you soon.

Craig

hello there,

I've been cruising the site for the past seven days in anticipation. now I can post finally! I'm living in Hamilton Ontario, Canada, for a few years now and am slowly discovering the fantastic hidden gems of this city. I've been studying photography independently for around 5 years, recently taking a big interest in the 'presence of absence' - UE of abandoned buildings, hauntingly empty but still telling of their prior uses, is perfect for illustrating this concept. Like a lot of people here, I loved exploring in the woods equipped with a good imagination and a healthy dose of curiosity. This site was introduced to me by a group of UErs I met while taking some exterior photos of an abandoned apartment complex that was ruined by fire (I have the interior shots to share, shortly.) I suppose I've been an urban explorer for years and years now, taking walks with a keen eye and my trusty camera.

Howdy.

I've been exploring less-than-public spaces for as long as i can remember, so i am excited to find a forum and resources for this sort of non-commercial entertainment. i look forward to meeting new people/finding new places.

i am interested in exploring the area around my city, St. Louis. Let me know if you are, too.

Party on, Wayne.

Hello,

My name is Scott and I live in Lancaster, PA. I stumbled across this site while looking for information on abandoned buildings in my area to explore and photograph.
To be honest I haven't found anything at all and am hoping that I can find help here. If anyone can point me to some resources, it would be most appreciated.
I am heavily into photography, so maybe down the road I can help contribute in that area.

I'm Drake. Based in Ktown Tn. I've been getting into places im not supposed to be in since I was 13. I mainly started spelunking, that branched into drains, which branched into abandoned buildings and such.

I used to just poke around and read a while back but then forgot about this place, I'm Jason, I've been exploring for about a year now and taking pictures of the places i go, know I haven't been doing it that long but i love it so far, better late then never i guess. Anyway I'm part of this forum, VacantNJ and just joined the Opacity one. From what I've seen here everyone seems like good people who actually care about the places as opposed to trashing them, good to meet you all.

~Jason

P.S. sorry about the whole being too specific deal in my first couple posts in NE, i edited them up to make them a little less obvious as to where they are ha if i make anymore mistakes feel free to let me know. Thanks.

Hey there, my names MIAD, im a 26 yo civil engineering student, live in Newcastle Australia. Have been exploring drains in my local area and in sydney for a few years now. Mostly into drains, but wouldn't walk past a good topside either. My latest one was the recently abandoned and now being demolished royal newcastle hospital, was great. I am into photography and enjoy shooting abandoned places. Looking forward to hearing from others off here about URBEX

Cheers

Watsup fellow explorers, I'm glad to have joined the masses of others with the uncanny ability to wander up to, around, and inside of places most people don't even notice. One of the funest aspects of the exploration for me is imagining what exactly could have been happening in these areas. Anyways, i've already posted some other things before I stumbled upon this thread. As of yet I don't have a camera, but hope to obtain one soon to start my own archiving of the places I visit. Well, i'm out. All of you others out there, have fun ;)!
