Hi, I've been interested in UE for a while! I only went on explorations a few times; I don't know anyone else who is into it I am from Europe and I have moved quite a lot in the US since I first moved here for grad school. I am now in Seattle and I want to explore it all, from the top of the mountains to the Underground!

Hey guys! Name's Atchisson but you can call me Atch. I currently live in Maryland and have been into urbexing for a couple years now. Haven't been able to actually go and do some exploring until recently though. Still, hope I can meet some cool explorers in my area! Very few of my friends are willing to risk their lives with me for some cool pics and stories haha

Hey! I'm Nick, living in St. Louis right now. Urban (or non-urban for that matter) is super interesting stuff. I've only had the chance to do some very minor exploring in my days. I recently found some tunnels at work that connect to other buildings and walked through some. It was pretty cool and got me curious about other tunnels connecting downtown St. Louis. My friend and I did some research and found this amazing site and thought I'd join. He and I got really excited about the possibilities, so I'm really hoping I can meet someone on here in St. Louis and explore some real beauties. All I want are some thrills and pictures. Please PM if you'd be willing to take me to some sites in STL as I'm not really sure where to start. Looking forward to it, -Nick

Well, here goes. I signed up about 2 and a half years ago and I decided to finally post something. I live in the central Alberta region (that's in Canada). I've always been mildly fascinated with abandoned structures but never really bothered to do any true "exploring" until fairly recently. Right now I have one main abandoned site I'm fascinated by and have been trying to learn all about:

I thought I did this before. I guess not? The name is icyGraveR. From Toronto. A fan of Birthday Massacre, Cure, Smashing Pumpkins, Victorian cemeteries and closet spaces. Nice to meet ye all.

Hey everyone, I'm a rather new explorer from down in Kentucky. I have been exploring unofficially for years, but I'm starting to get more serious about it and this seems like a great resource to help. Been lurking for awhile and you guys seem great. Here is a shot from one of my recent adventures, with more to come in a different thread:

Well, I too have been lurking a while. I've always been curious about abandoned buildings and urban decay and one day back in 2006 a friend took me to a long disused power plant in southern CA. I'm not terribly new to UE, but I have only a few explorations under my belt. I'd like to like to share the couple journeys I've documented and maybe find some more nearby. Luckily enough, now I'm in CT where there is certainly no shortage of abandoned buildings.

Hello, My name is Nick, I'm a photography student at Virginia Commonwealth University, and I grew up in Virginia. My interest in urban exploration is primarily for photography and my artistic practice. Besides the nebulous aims of fine art, I also just find exploring and making nice images a rush, tremendous fun, and I'm looking forward to getting to know this community.

Howdy folks! ^.^ My name's Mary and I'm a South Texas native, currently living in San Antonio but moving to San Francisco this coming summer. I got into urban exploration very recently - it actually started as a habit I picked up of paying attention to abandoned buildings because I was scouting out places to do post-apocalyptic themed photoshoots and I've realized that it's quite a lot of fun, even when not planning a specific shoot. I'm really looking forward to meeting up with other people and updating the local sites - a lot of the ones I'd gotten super excited about have been turned into condos or otherwise rehabbed. However, there's still so many places to inquire about and explore! I've got sites on my mind and I'm rather excited about this entire thing! Also, I'm terrible about posting on forums. I'm a lurker, big time. I'm hoping the format here helps me overcome that - posting photos isn't nearly as daunting as trying to keep up with a conversation made out of words!

Hey everyone, I've gotten into UE several months back. I'm in Ontario and am hooked! I've explored a large abandoned warehouse (with a mock prison inside) and a very old abandoned, fenced off house so far. We have a few places in mind but we are taking our time and being careful. Reading the forums here so far has been very educational and inspiring, I hope to learn a lot from this place and also get some tips on places to visit!

Welcome! Out of curiosity was the mock setup for a haunted house or something? I've been to a few haunted houses that were constructed in old building and warehouses before they were repurposed. Warehouses always have some cool stuff floating around in them.

Hey Y'all, I've been into urban exploring for some years now, but not in any kind of dedicated way. I tend to explore when someone piques my interest, or when the mood seizes me, especially when I have an adventurous companion and it's a nice night. Anyway, I want to get more into this exciting pastime. Currently I'm living in small town Alberta and it's pretty boring and cold here, so my short term goal is to make some friends in the exploring community. I've been hitchhiking and train-hopping for over ten years (only in Canada), and I probably do know things that some folks here would like to know, and I'm happy to help out. Ordinarily I don't like to spend a lot of time in front of a computer screen, but lately I have been doing exactly that. I rarely take photographs of anyone or anything, but I do have a camera, so I guess I'll try to start taking some pictures, since I guess that's what people here are into. Outside of exploring, I'm into nature, punk music, radical hip-hop, hypnosis, circus arts, creative writing, and subversive philosophy.

Hey everyone! My name is Stirling, and I'm from the Annapolis area in Maryland. Recently I've gotten really into urban exploring, although the fascination of the old and abandoned has really been with me my whole life. Recently, my friend and I have been trying to map out a bunch of sites in the Maryland/DC area and hope to visit as many as we can. Luckily for me, it seems that I live in an area rich in old and abandoned places. As of now, the only really noteworthy or mentionable places that I've visited are the Enchanted Forest amusement park and the Forest Haven asylum. In addition, I've visited and explored Burkittsville a bit, where The Blair Witch Project was filmed, although I didn't get the chance to venture back into the woods.

I look forward to exploring some more sites soon and really am excited to have found this website. I'm pumped to have the opportunity to be part of this community and I hope that I'll be able to meaningfully contribute! I'm looking forward to becoming a regular on the site and know I'll learn a lot from you guys!

Hey everyone! I'm Gabby and from around the DC area in Maryland. I've only recently gotten into urban exploring the past year with my friend and haven't done much but I hope to visit a lot more places. So far I have visited two rather well known locations in Maryland, an abandoned amusement park and asylum. They were both awesome and I plan on returning again to explore more thoroughly. I hope to find more places and learn from you all!
