Hello all!

Been here for about 2 months, accidentally stumbled on to the fact my region is huge for UE !

Being a striving photographer I tried my best to figure out where to go in Ontario, ended up contacting some UE guy who was on TV to ask him.

Long story short in that area not much and or so secure etc not worth it.

ANYWAYS found this place spent HOURS reading all I could in forums, with time to kill before posting maybe by design??

SO I read your posts geared at rookie to pro to shots to does and donts all!

Having educated myself with your ethics and everything I can easily evaluate my challenges:

* you pass through intentional security measures
Ironically my need for the shots seems to allow me to easily find quick excuses (im not here to damage only a photographer trying to further my hobby, trust me I read your posts very general here)

* you are hush hush with locations for all the right reasons
I have found abandoned locations already BUT I am a normal 40 year old dude, a photographer adventurious risk taker BUT zero experience with entering etc)

* I gather even the most secure places you just need to know routines
Again normal adult nothing but will but trial and error security breaching by myself!

So we end up with a photographer whos willing to take risks for insane shot opportunities.

Like many new people it ends up you might require meeting people and have someone(s) take you along with them.

If your in Montreal area and photography centric with your ue AND needing another team member or whatever?

Maybe you like my photography style who knows gotta ask right?

I have no problems going to a location with no security and is not going to be filled with bums or addicts sure.

Im not dumb either and the adventure is of course part of it all right?

Marc

Hi I'm Arthur!

I've always been fascinated by urban decay. As an avid photographer this phenomenon has always drawn my lens. Urban exploring gives my life a sense of excitement, mystery and wonder. For the past few years I've been discovering and cataloging abandoned locations without the help of any sort of community. Unfortunately this is a slow unreliable process, so I figured I'd try to expand my currently limited view by reaching out to the members on UER. I'm still struggling with the format of the site but I'll try my best to contribute what I can!

Hi,

What a cool site!! Thanks for creating this, could not have been easy.

I'm new here. I'm an "older" explorer and LOVE it. No matter where I am, who I'm with, I'm scanning the area for places to explore. Now I can't stop scanning. When I find a place, I get so excited, I could jump up and down, and sometimes do.

I live outside Philadelphia, in Delaware County. I do exploring in S Jersey, Maryland and Delaware. I have a "Abandoned" Album on Flick.com.:

My purpose for joining in here is I love to share and gather information with responsible explorers. Nice to meet you.

Hi, I'm Erin I'm from Columbus Ohio. I stumbled upon this site while looking for information about an old abandoned school building I've seen a few times. I can't wait to see more on the site and learn about Columbus.

Hello, I'm Frank and I'm from a big city in Ontario, the one with the hockey team that always loses!

I've been interested in urban exploring for a couple years (since I first watched a couple Adam the Woo! videos on Youtube). I recently became tired of gaming and was looking for a new hobby when I decided to google abandoned places in Toronto. I became enamoured by the pictures I've seen as a result of the search and decided to buy my first DSLR camera.

I look forward to my time on this forum!

Hey everyone.

I've been following this forum for about a week now, and figured it was about time I signed up. I'm in mostly to local stuff, as there isn't much abandonment where I live in Orange County. I find the drain systems very appealing and I have begun exploring the vast underground networks. I've done a lot of poking around in the area between houses and also do a lot in the deserts.

Hello! My name is Emmy and I've only been exploring for about six months. My husband and I are into guerrilla rope bondage or rope bombing. We like to find interesting spots to do rope suspensions, ie: abandoned buildings, in front of graffiti, under/on bridges, or just in nature. We usually go on adventures with a couple of close friends who also enjoy rope. Anyway, I'm looking forward to becoming a part of this community. I'll be posting pictures very soon.

Hey my name's Nick. I'm pretty new to this whole Urban Exp thing. Was just reading about some prohibition/smuggling caves about a month ago and have been addicted since. I live in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and had no idea the history behind a lot of these places. So far there's a few different places I've been to, but none of my friends are really into this kind of thing. If anyone's in the area shoot me a message!

- Nick

Hey there everyone, have had an account for sometime but not had a chance to get active on the Forums until now.

I'm Vince, I live in the Baltimore area and love Urban Exploring.

Some recent ventures of mine have been the Schenuit Rubber Factory, the Infamous Rosewood Center, and an abandoned Sea Fort (Fort Carroll).

Can't wait to become a full member so I can get the Baltimore section totally up to date, I have noticed many locations that no longer exist.

I look forward to sharing awesome places and photos with you all!

Hey guys! Dantay here. Been doin some smalltime UE with myself and a buddy but looking for new places and new people. I'm from the south east USA and am fully aware of my ignorance. I am always welcome to random tips and bits of knowledge you've learned through the years (mostly about security measures). So hit me up if you want. I would love to chat with ya.

See you past the fence,
Dantay

Hi WS. Just wanted to say welcome to the forums. Like you, I am a relatively normal 40 year old dude. And like you I got into UE for the art (video is my thing). I've had some amazing experiences since meeting up with some like-minded explorers. I've also done a whole lot solo too. Adventure awaits you! Enjoy!

Hi Arthur. By the looks I signed up here about the same time as you did. So I'm new too, and can't speak from the perspective of really knowing anything about how things work here. I've been posting a few links to my videos, and every now and again get a response. All good things start with the simple act of somebody saying hi, so... welcome, and hi from New Zealand.
