| | | SO amazingly good panoramic cameras are the Noblex 150 UV and the Noblex 175. Both of these cameras photos view covers 135 degrees and us 120 film. Another good camera I know about but have not used personally are the Seitz 28-220. They also use 120 film, but can also use 220 film (the noblexs cant). The Seitz camera actually does a rotation and can loop 1 1/2 times. THe amount of rotation is adjustable by 45 degrees. This is one that I am trying to save up and get (it costs around $3100). The noblex's are about the same, but you can find them on ebay a lot. THere is also the Noblex 135 series which uses 35mm film and are noticable cheaper. Another camera out there and similar is the Widelux. I would actually recommend you to stay away from them. The way they are designed is pretty poor. THey are like the Noblex, but the power is based on a spring (the noblex is all electic). I have a bunch of other cameras---medium, digital, slr, point and shot, and pinhole cameras (I have 12 cameras total w/ 10 tripods--manfrotto and gitzo).

| | | Pentax New Deal!! <Reply # 288 on 2/3/2006 1:58 AM >
| | | http://www.steves-...news.html#dl_price I'm shocked. I think that they'd lower the price on the DS first. http://www.pentaxslr.com/home A wide range of usable lenses too. It's nice to have a company try to get there cameras out there instead of leaving it in the hands of the rich. But then again Pentax has always about being in the hands of the many. Wow. I've always been a Pentax guy, but when I was DSLR shopping back in '04, that thing was still $1600 U.S. So I made the jump to Canon for half the price. Too bad they waited too long, they really could have been a contender.

| | | well, whatever camera you DO buy, i would suggest buying it from here: http://stores.ebay...mera-and-Camcorder that's where i got my camera, and i definitely recommend it. it was about $600 cheaper than it would be if i bought it retail. if you play your cards right, you should be able to get it as cheap or cheaper. here's everything that came in the package for a total of $850(about): Nikon D70 DSLR Tamron AF 28-80mm F/3.5-5.6 Lens Tamron AF 70-300mm F/4-5.6 Macro Lens Phoenix carrying bag oh, and i would also recommend the D70. it's a good camera. =) [last edit 2/4/2006 5:38 PM by blackhawk762 - edited 1 times]

| | | I still suggest buying locally from an authorized dealer. If you ever have a problem, they are there to back up their products. Same for lenses. Nothing beats going down to your favorite store with your camera and trying new lenses before buying one.

| | I want to buy a new camera... <Reply # 294 on 2/13/2006 8:39 AM >
| | | Anyone got any suggestions in the 400$-800$ range. (keep in mind im an idiot and know close to nothing about camera's). What im looking for is a digital camera where you can swap lenses, something that is durable and can actually take night shots/ low light shots without the stupid night shot option. Any ideas?

| | | Finding a good Camera <Reply # 296 on 2/18/2006 3:49 PM >
| | | I was looking around at some of the photos in the photography section (of course : p) anyways i wanted to know what is a good quality camera I could get, one thats not too expensive but nice XD. Plus, i wanted to know if it's better to get a digital camera, or a good film camera. Maybe there is a digital camera out there that takes some good film quality shots, who knows I require such assitance : p

Read this thread. It's quite usefull. And maybe go over to the local camera shop and take a boo at what they have and the prices.
