| | | Our very first exploration three years ago into an Abandoned Wheat Mill happened because a giant garage door was completely open. We walked right in. We quickly learned that exploring the locations we accumulated was plenty easy without having to break anything to get inside. That same location yielded at least 8 different security holes throughout various trips; a hole into the basement covered by a piece of plywood, an open window, etc. It's how we came to say, "there's always a way in." Interesting to discuss the topic, though. I guess there was a time when we thought it was simply our ingenuity and patience that found us those cracks in security, but of course our beginning was mostly reliant on pathetic security measures. As we got a little more experience, though, we learned that most of the pathetic security measures were a tragedy for some of our favorite locations. I guess, the most hilarious of pathetic security measures, in my opinion, would be the ones that work. One location we visited put motor lubricant over all of the ledges, so that if anyone tried to climb up to one of the open windows, they'd slip. I think so far that's my favorite.
