reminds me of the fences around most construction sites

you just lift them off the posts, swing them open like a door and put them back into place

and this isn't just one spot in the fence but along the entire perimeter

used to be the same around here, but since quite a while they now actually attach the fences together with some metal thing with bolts...

Video demo.

There's not a lot (picture-wise) to see until you watch the gate swing open, so check it out.

http://farm4.stati...116_d90495857c.jpg
Locked gate, fence above, touches the wall on one side, barbed wire blocking the other side, with fencing on top. Possible to climb over, BUT:

http://farm4.stati...052_eb7f059465.jpg
Scuff marks going around the post instead of in the upward arc like the clasp would make. Whoever opens this gate doesn't lift that clasp...

The last house I lived in had a gate like that. Those pieces really should be welded. Even if they were tight, they can be loosened.

Also, I've seen them installed with the nuts on the OUTSIDE.

I know there is sometimes a pin that is supposed to lock it into the ground, but the gate will deflect enough to disengage the lock.

Is that covering a hole in the grass, or was it torn off the window/door it used to block?

The last apartment building in which I lived had a lock on the front door, to which all of the tenants had their own key. That, combined with the apartment locks, was great, until the landlord, for some reason, decided to remove said lock, and never replace it. I didn't live in what I'd call a bad area of the city at the time, but I have to say that I definitely felt less secure during the rest of my time there.

I was thinking that some guard dogs with proximity mines would make this a better outfit.

Proximity mines, on the guard dogs? Dude...I know that teeth make good shrapnel, but I think there's GOT to be a better way to utilize canines.

Torn off the gate it was wired up to. It was guarding this place.

My area is surrounded by drains all with steel grates covering the entrance. Funny enough the city thinks one size fits all and most of them have enough gap to allow a fat man to stroll through. Its the equivalent to getting stopped by a toll booth, you pause a minute then just keep going.

20 foot high gate with a razor wire on top on both sides of the building. The problem. No fence anywhere else just walk around.

A lot of times, owners will have one lock on a place, connected to another lock which the FD has the key for, and the PD will have a third lock, all to allow their entry to a location in a time of need. I don't know about this location, but that's probably why there are all the different locks. Still, fun to see!

I just pity the person that only has a key to the bottom left lock

Try 9' fence with flood lights all around it, well-locked gate, and periodic driving patrol inside it... and a drain going from a deep ditch on-site to the creek off-site. Yeah.
