I can see about getting people inside if anyone would like to go and explore. I know one of the security guards who works there, so I don't think there would be a problem.

I've never met up with a random stranger to explore a building.... But this is a big one. I might have to.

I don't really think there's any tunnels. I can't there being steam tunnels between the school and the hospital because the school was built in the early 40s and the Infirmary was built in I think late 90s or early 2000s to replace the Old Halifax Infirmary. But there could be a bomb shelter. Don't know.
I'd be interested in taking a look though, for sure.

I agree, as my friend would say: "Git'r'dun"

Have faith only in those who you trust. And hold who you trust close to you for you have no idea when you will need them most.

Hey guys,

Huge fan sense I was young. Never done an exploration before but just fascinated with online sites. I'm taking Graphic Design at NSCAD, and one of my projects to to develop a magazine from front to cover. I'm thinking about making a Urban Exploring mag, wondering if you know of anything out there similar I should look up?

I'll for sure hit up the next Halifax meeting to get some feedback.

I've never actually seen the Infiltration zine but I do see that the back issues can be had in a bundle with the Urban Explorer's bible "Access All Areas."

That link is here.

I bought my copy of AAA through Infiltration and it is totally legit.

Others may chime in with some other suggestions. I highly recommend AAA if you're just getting into UE.

And I'm really going to try to make it to the upcoming monthly meet.

i have all the issues of Infiltration and 5100.. they're pretty straight forward typical zine layouts. I could scan a couple for you if you'd like or maybe bring some to the next meet..

So, i'm not 100% certain, but it looks like they're gearing up to demolish the CNIB building on Almon Street. I was driving by and they've fenced the property and have a garbage chute set up.

I of course only mention this to make conversation...

Hmmmm. Interesting?

We all had ostriches. My dad had an ostrich farm! I remember one day someone came in and said the high altitude bombing of Kosovo had been a limited success, so we all went out and celebrated… by killing an ostrich and boiling it in kiwi fruit.

I thought that had been demolished already. Is it down to only a concrete shell now??

at the time i mentioned it, they were just bringing in the heavy equipment, and everything inside was intact. they sat idle for about a week before starting to knock it down.

at this point, it's completely gone, not even wreckage remaining.
