New member here saying hello to all. My name is MarineAD i am from Cleveland, OH but i am currently stationed in Yuma, AZ i enjoy the thrill of exploring areas that few others have seen. I have been on a few explorations a few back home in Ohio and also a couple down here in the yuma area. I would be interested in meeting more UE enthusiasts to discuss this addicting hobby we share.

Yo! I'm in the Capital Region of NY, I've been exploring abandoned places since February, so 8 or 9 months. I've been on maybe a dozen urbex trips in that time. I love the 'Indiana Jones' feeling I get when exploring a new place - it's as close to discovering a lost civilization as I'm going to get I'm also really into photography, so the two hobbies go hand-in-hand. I'm joining this forum to find new places to explore, and hopefully some other explorers in my area.

Your screen name makes me dislike you already.

I can assure you I would never actually kick a puppy, as I typically get along better with them than with people. No, my domesticated animal of choice for meeting my foot would have to be a cat...specifically my roommate's.

However if you want to dislike me anyway, you'll have to take a number.

There are not enough numbers to take.

So, kicking a cat is somehow okay? No. It's never okay. No matter what type of animal.

Animal abusers are not welcome here.

LOL seems like I wasn't the only one to go batty during the 7 day wait

It seems to be a common theme. Funny part is, I spent most of my first seven days diligently scanning the forums; this has been followed by about two weeks of occasional lurking.

Go figure.

Hi guys! I've been lurking for about 6 months now. I think I've looked at almost every entry in the database (at least the ones I can see). My interest in the paranormal has led me here (think I'm crazy yet?). I don't remember exactly how I found this place. I really enjoy everyones pictures. Some really talented folks we have here.

Hey all, been on for a few weeks now. I love photography and I love lost places, which has brought me here. For the week that I had to wait, I too explored the site and pictures here, there are people on this site who are very talented. I hope to continue developing my skills as a photographer, learning from people here. So now, along with being a bit (okay, a lot) obsessed with finding a photographing abandoned places, I am now addicted to this site. Thanks a lot.....*grin*.

So i've always been interested in exploring, and most of my younger teen years i was always out and about, checking out old forts or buildings around my town. Ive also just recently started getting interested in photography, so i think it will be nice to have some other people who do it a lot give me some pointers, maybe critic some shots if i post them. I go offroading/4wheeling a lot, which is usually how i find cool places to check out.

About a year ago i was 4wheeling down this little trail i found going off into the woods, and it happened to be an old abandoned farm that had become overgrown with trees. There was stables for horses, a big barn, and 2 small ranch houses. It hadnt been used in years and recently was torn down for condos, but i had a lot of fun checking it out. Of course i didnt have my camera at the time.

I am a noob, so please excuse my lack of knowledge or any dumb questions, Im slowly learning! Also, I am open to doing group exploring or meeting up with other people who want to check out a place. I am near Nashville, TN. Thanks everyone, glad to be a part of this site.

Hello all, I'm a new member from the Raleigh, North Carolina area. I've heard about UrbEx a few times in the past, but came from a town too small for there to be anything interesting. Here in Raleigh I'm finding a fair number of things to check out though.

So far I've only been draining. Like nearly everyone here I'd love to find some local UER members, particularly if you know of cooler things than what I've found so far. I was directed to a map of some of the Wake County drainage basins which are fairly accurate, so most of what I've been doing is exploring these (low risk, easy planning).

I've been bringing my camera along on a lot of these and finding some weird stuff. Here's where a pipe changes into mortared stone for a dozen yards, then back again. I'm still unsure about how location details go, but I'd like to mention that the city has put "Sanitary Sewer" manhole covers on a lot of manholes that go to drains.

Yes! It's been a week!

Anyway, hello all! I'm a 25 year old mother of one and I've been exploring abandoned houses, barns, factories, and construction sites my whole life, I just never knew it had a name until recently. I never really took pictures of anywhere I've been to show anyone. All the people that I know that would be into it are the people that already go with me. I have spent a lot of time in the factory in Manheim PA that's on the DB here. It's sad that the factory is gone now.

It's really nice to be here and I'm really glad I found this place. I just moved to a new town and I'm trying to find some good places. There are a couple on the DB here, but it looks like they've all been torn down. Well, except for the one but I wouldn't go there because it's right on the Main street of town and there are a lot of cops around here.

Hey All!

I'm new here! Actually I'm not, it's just that posting on new member introduction threads just creeps me out a little. So after being here two years now and I'm not new anymore, I'm catching up on some things I need to do.

-You can call me trent.
-I explore stuff.
-I take pictures
-One day I aim to camp out in a large abandonment and take psychedelics while I explore, photograph, and toast marshmallows.
-You can normally find me crusin' down the strip in my six-fo, jockin' the bitches, slappin' the hoes.

Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum here but I'm not new to Urban Exploration.
Because I'm located in Belgium most of my explorations are in this "Urbex Walhalla" ... it's amazing to see how many places you can find in such a small country.
I'm wandering around this planet for about 38 years now but I'll need many more years to explore everything on my to-do list

Hello everyone,

I'm fairly new to UE, (Only a TB ward, some abandoned cabins, and one paltry drain/stream system). I've been interested in abandoned buildings for years, and have never passed up on looking through historical buildings (whether I'm allowed to or not). I'm looking to get into draining, as that seems to be my best shot for exploration where I am right now. Still, bridges are nice, too.

Hi everyone!

I've been doing urban exploring for more than ten years but never knew it had a name. I'm surprise and happy to find so many explorer friends. I just discovered your site last week, but i have read hundreds of discussions already! I love this site because it seems so much more serious than most others. I visited mostly in rural areas but in the last years i have been exploring more my city. I will post some of my pictures soon, although i have done a lot of exploring without taking pictures

I am very pleased to join this forum and i hope to find new places to explore.

Hello everyone!

I'm very excited that my 7 days are finally up! I was so pumped to find this site. I've always been intrigued by abandoned building and the like, but I don't have much experience actually exploring them. Oppressed by fear of the man and such (as well as generally lacking adventurous friends). But after I became aware that normal, non-thug/gang members/murders/crack addicts actually explored these places without ending up in prison for life give me a fresh look at it all. Now instead of looking at a site and thinking, "OMFG THAT IS SO F-ING COOL I WISH I COULD GO CHECK IT OUT SFHJEFHKSDFDHDAS! But, no! I mustn't..." I think, "OMFG THAT IS SO F-ING COOL ASLKDJ:ALSDJL:! I wonder how I can get in..." I've already checked out a couple places and I can't wait to explore more.

Hello everyone

New to UER, not really to urban exploration.
At first i was mainly exploring quarries around (and under) Paris but i'm getting increasingly interested in other abandoned sites.
I got back yesterday from a great trip to Canada (Montreal) and USA (NYC) were I got to explore tons of stuff.
A big thank you to our guides (they are on UER)

Hope I'll get to travel back to Canada again some time!

No matter which way you go as long as you get lost
