I suggest that you jump on google maps and look along streams rivers and water catchments in your area for any drain openings, note them down then get out there with a friend and check it out.

I'm Archo from Mississauga. The only time I've ever explored was back in 2007 with a few friends down in the drains of Mississauga. We only explored a few hundred feet, as we were young, unequipped, and were unsure as to why we were down there. However, since then I had always been keen on revisiting the drains in order to do a proper expedition... unfortunately none of us got around to doing it. That will change this summer as a few of us are planning on heading down there. So yeah, I'm beneath novice when it comes to UE. I hope I can drop in on a few meets, and learn more about this great pastime.

My name is Lasso! I am from West Michigan, Grand Rapids specifically. I have always been more of a hiker/wilderness person, but I am getting more into photography and urban exploring. I'm doing my best to try to scout out interesting spots in my area but it looks like it's going to be full day trips for me to get anything super interesting (Detroit or abandoned cabins/camps in northern MI).
I go out almost every other day, so I hope I can get full membership soon so I can get some help finding good spots... or even find an exploring buddy!

Nobody ever reads these things. I could quite literally say just about anything and no one would be the wiser. With that said, I'm a closet serial killer and I'm into necrophilia.
Actually, I'm just your typical below-average student. I am not remotely interesting or fascinating. I tell it like it is and I always speak my mind. I have strong opinions and I'm not afraid to voice them.
My relationship status, sexual orientation, and religious/political views are not important, as they do not define who I am as a person.
I'm interested in photography, journalism, film, astronomy, history, politics, biology, art, writing, traveling, urban exploration, stormchasing, spontaneous roadtrips, post-punk music, skydiving, and horror movies.
I dig cats, cigarettes, beer, string instruments, marijuana, caffeine, insomnia, and foreign cuisine. Also, I'm overly obsessed with Steven Patrick Morrissey, Karin Dreijer Andersson, Jack White, Zachary Quinto, and Hunter S. Thompson.
A few random "fun" facts: I speak english, french, german, and swedish. I play the piano, drums and the guitar (although just barely) and I am learning to play the violin. My favourite food(s) are thai, indian, and lebanese.
As far as music goes, my taste is varied. I'm a huge fan of post-punk, new wave, and brit pop. Lately I've been listening to a lot of music by Jack White (The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, Dead Weather), The Black Keys, The Weakerthans, and the new Strokes album. To name a few favourites: The Smiths, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, The Knife, Jeff Buckley, The Beatles, Joy Division, Echo and the Bunnymen, PJ Harvey, Tom Waits, Patti Smith, Beck, The Birthday Party, Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, and David Bowie.
I'm not at all picky with who I add to my friends list. I'll likely add you as long as you're friendly and nice and update more than once a month. Of course it's a plus if we have something in common. My journal mainly consists of rambling, ranting, photography, music, stuff like that.

I'm from Ontario, more specifically Hamilton and like checking out places all along the 401, QEW, 403 corridor, especially Toronto. I like photography and capturing life in an abandonment has always been exciting and necessary to me but I've just recently started to get really into it so I'm glad that I found other like minded people and I look forward to learning a lot here and sharing as well!
I'm heading out tomorrow with a few people to check out a site so if I capture quality shots I'll post them then.

My name is Andrej, I am a 26 years old slovak born guy living currently in Brno, Czech Republic.
I've been doing UE for some years now but I discovered uer.ca just few weeks ago. It sure is a great web for explorers and a perfect database of interesting UE spots, but I slightly miss a bit more locations from the more eastern parts of europe here (or maybe I just looked for them in the wrong forums?).
I would like to share with you some of the most interesting places I know around the south moravian region of Czech Republic and also find some inspiration here and learn some new stuff from the more experienced explorers.
And as a small preview, here are some pictures I've taken today in Zbrojovka, a former weapon factory located almost in the center of Brno:
