Also, it's SXSW, so parking will probably be a nightmare - and people will be driving more stupidly than normal.
I suggest parking in the Whole Foods lot and garage.

Lol.. so the last meet really didn't involve exploran. But I guess we really didn't have a plan either. Plz if anyone has any ideas for locations to check out, suggest them and maybe we can plan ahead of time for next month, it would not be wise to post it on here though..
Unfortunately Austin doesn't appear to have a whole lot of choices for UE.. hopefully we can find more stuff soon though, I have a few places in mind at the moment.

Definitely should be clear that the place I suggested is only inactive about 10% of the time, so we shouldn't rely on it as our only option.

I would love to get to something farther out, but I don't have any transportation, and neither do two friends of mine who will probably be attending the meet-up. It would be spectacular if we could bum a ride with someone.
The place I suggested might not be the most accommodating to larger groups, the more I think of it.
I'm still down with Whole Foods.

My car can fit four people besides me, so we could use that to transport a good portion of us.

As long as I have a all my stuff out of my car and unpacked when i move down this week I can seat 4 as well and am willing to drive. I have a couple suggestions on locations too...a couple of the ones I'm thinking of are a little bit of a drive but not more then 30 minutes I don't think and I also have a couple IN Austin but they are locations I'm sure most local Austin explorers have been to probably but worth a shot...if anyone wants to discuss my location suggestions before Saturday PM me otherwise we could figure out a place to go at the meet up after discussing our options as a group. Can't guarantee I'll be able to respond to PMs until Thursday though but I'll probably be able to respond in the morning before I pack my computer into my car too.

Well awesome, thank you ride-offering people. We'll be sure to make it extra awkward later on when we have to choose whose offer to accept.

yeah ... or we at least should get each others phone numbers if were going to meet up there again or somewhere crowded. Luckily I had Superlocrian's number from when we've explored previously so I was able to get a hold of him who was running a bit late and I had no idea who you other people were yet cuz I've never been to an Austin meet up before and I saw no one with cameras or gear around whole foods although if Matt was there I would've recognized him from Dallas exploring..but anyway after Superlocrian and I looked around whole foods for everyone else we planned on walking to go check out the seaholm since I had never seen it and on our way we luckily ran into a few other explorers who thought they missed the meetup and checked a few places out that turned out to be a bust then went to Holly power plant for a few hours got almost 800 pics to go through still too but I'll post some of the best when I get the chance.
For those who missed the meet Im down for organizing a mini meet up or something during this week or in a couple weeks from now if anyone else is up for it because I'd really like to meet all the other Austin explorers that didn't make it because I don't have many exploring buddies down here yet since I just moved here...just let me know when everyone is free if your down...I'm free anytime before thursday so far and this next weekend I'll be out of town. This time if/when we meet up lets make sure everyone has everyones phone number that has a phone anyway just in case we can't find each other if thats cool with everyone else...just PM them to me and/or everyone if your cool with that...if not then maybe we can just set up a specific spot or table somewhere with a sign or reserved party somewhere.
