| | | Well I figured I'd end up having some shitty posts since I'm new to the forums. I've done some research on the site through some connections and its a regional training center for the national guard but not in that area. The closest area used by it is used as a police dog training site for most metro police agencies.

| | | I like exploring police dog training places. I bring Mr. Brown and we pretend we're cops. I usually arrest a few people just to make me look more cop-like, so they don't figure it out.

| | | I live near there and drive by the old munitions plant frequently. I rarely if ever see the Ntl Guard there and the parking depot has been empty for over a year. I have never seen police doing dog training there but it would be a perfect place for it. There is power to some of the buildings and alarms are almost guaranteed in those areas. It's such a huge facility it's been like a big UE candy waiting to be explored for awhile now. I've heard rumors of at least one group going in but even after asking the supposed participants for some proof in the pics even with the understanding of keeping it on the down low no proof was antied up. One corner of the grounds is still very active with the recruiting and remains of the guard post although the old 10 side looks pretty tasty and after a short drive around the perimeter its not tough to spot fairly concealed places to get past the main fence. All this hype about dog training and such is a good heads up but it does remind me of other places we have explored with impunity with alarms, dog training, roving security, Feds, demon dogs, men in black, and the occasional tagger or explorer. If I remember right Melody has some good footage of a group of us evading a security team at another old government facility near the airport as well as several of us having close calls on more than one occasion. There has been a lot of people who have been caught in the last couple of years though too, so weigh out the risks and rewards. If you check it out just keep aware of everything and maybe even post a lookout from a good vantage point with radios. That nut is ripe to be cracked and kudos to you if you can provide the proof. Even for a scouting run there is a perfect spot right across the road thats a bar for refreshments. Who knows maybe asking around to some of the regulars a person could get some valuable info.

| | | hey pedroski i live a bicycle rides away from the plant and was just talking today with a friend about finally checking the place out. I have got real close to the plant on motorcycle rides and know a decent spot to hop in. The section by my house rarely has signs of activity and i am pretty sure i have seen a more than a few broken windows on some of the more abandoned looking buildings, which is an invitation to poke around to me. apparently my friends co worker was kayaking down a stream the led into the base, he and his son went in and were eventually stopped by national guard and told to turn around and leave promptly, but this was prolly middle of the day and in a main area. anyways the place i would like to hop the fence has some nice wooded hills that would be good for at least getting an overview and maybe even could be hiding some cool shit. if interested i can provide more detailed info such as road names and good looking fence hopping spots, etc...

| | | I drive by this place on a daily basis, there are cars in THAT part of the place moving about all the damn time. In May of this year, the developer who was planning on using that land, pulled out of the deal, and the city opted to stop trying to buy the land from the government ... So, this maybe something to keep in mind when poking around, or thinking about it. Just sayin...

| | | Yeah I hear yah...but now all this talk of hopping fences and lurking about is really making me itch for a mission. I am planning to at least hop the fence and get up on one of those hills and look around and snap a few pics. I've always wanted to get up on the main hill that looks out to 35 and watch all the robots hustle in to their boring jobs. Hey 23, you ever find any cool shit in Anoka? Know anybody named Ian B. or Butch D? Thats were I grew up and I'm a few months older than you. I've gotten up in to some old buildings downtown and found a bunch of weird mannequins and stuff. Also found an abandoned Halloween themed cabin off of the rum river in Andover, lots of creepy shit in there. Kinda funny story, one of our inner tubes popped a little upstream so we were "forced" to look for a pump or something to float on when we saw the house. Yeah, we've out ran anoka counties finest more than a few times, but good times. Anyways if I do make it in to the Armory I'll bring some proof back, hopefully not in the form of a trespassing arrest.

| | | LOL! I like that PM Toxic, its always nice to see the newer explorers getting out there hard core and not just following in others footsteps. WTG. Right now there are a bunch of empty storefronts in downtown Anoka and some random interesting things here and there but nothing to write home about in my book Thatguy. For some reason I've had a lot of people asking me about the Anoka Hospital again lately but thats in use and the areas that aren't are pretty risky. Its not a problem to find the way in to the tunnels but getting out once inside without getting caught is another story.

| | | I'd take 23's indirect advice... ...stay away from this place for awhile. It may be explorable in the future, but right now it's very risky. This is a warning! HEY! Just be careful you fuckers!

I'm almost positive that at least a few photos were posted here on UER a while back, though whoever posted 'em might have removed them later. Someone who cares more than I do can try and find the thread. Point is, I'm sure it's been done - I'm just not sure it should, or even can, be done again.

Exactly. A group went at night and ran into guard members who were training. The last thing I'd want to find while sneaking into a place like that would be a guy in a ghillie suit.
