But ya i agree freak. Once a site appears online its usually within a couple years (in my experiance)that it gets fucked...

Yeah ok, everywhere gets fucked within a couple years.

I think that graffiti* artists don't give a **** about doing research on where they tag stuff...

I went to art school in Chicago and knew several grafifiti artists there. They use this website and many others to find new locations to paint murals. Interestingly enough, graffiti artists, like urban explorers, are very secretive about their locations and don't share information about abandonments. Don't kid yourself into thinking they aren't here on UER.

The internet is a poweful tool for spreading information. A lot of scrappers have families to feed and scrapping pays the bills. They use the internet to find scrap, believe it or not, and UER is a very helpful tool to them.

Why do you have such a difficult time understanding this? I'm not making shit up.

I also know a lot of people who are into graffiti, and they don't care where they tag, they will just be driving down the road and find something randomly.

And most of these people stealing copper aren't the family type.

You sound like someone from the generation ahead of mine, too worried about the internet.

Granted everything can be seen and shared with everyone, but bad stuff doesn't happen as much as you old people pre-internet people think.

Some girls should just be happy they were invited to the prom..

I bet cops don't even watch these forums... they're too busy all day eating donuts and shooting the real bad guys...

If you want to protect the locations you love to explore, don't talk about them online in public!
If you want to make exploring friends, send people private messages! Meet up in real life! Get off the internet!
Don't try to have a UER e-penis! You won't impress anyone! This especially means you, Minneapolis MN newbies!

also, I think that property owners are too stupid to use a google search to check to see if people are trespassing on their property and posting photos and stories online...

Maybe scrappers, graffiti artists, vandals, and arsonists use this site to find targets, maybe not. We've got some people here who've seen it happen, and been there to witness it. And we've got a few people who just kind of doubt it could happen who don't seem to have as much experience with this site.

Bottom line is, let's not make it easier for those people.

I think it's more that they don't care about abandoned buildings. Same thing with the property owners.

If people gave a shit about what is in their abandoned buildings, they would do a good job protecting it.

Not sure when the last time was you were in some of the abandonments around the cities, but some owners do a pretty damn good job.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside. Run. He's fuzzy. Get outta here.
