I think this post really kind of shows the level of maturity displayed by the majority of people who carry weapons on missions.

You do realize, that there is no plausible explanation as to why you have that ASP in the first place, because like pepper spray -- yes you can have it, but you'd better say it was for spraying on rabid dogs while your out for jog then self defense because a cop is not got gonna be amused with your reasoning. You can't say your gonna use them to defend yourself against crack heads with it.
Also are you aware that to carry a baton legally (Security officer/Special constable/ police officer), you need to pass a handling certification course? One of the things you learn at the said class, is how not to have your baton taken from you and subsequently get an even bigger ass whoopin' then you'd get anyways just being at the wrong place and the wrong time.
I also love they way everybody jumped on Octane's case, I don't think this was intended to be anything else other then a lulz thread.

First, thank you AIR33 for making a mature, reasonable post.
I do agree that A cop would ask questions, BUT it's not illegal to carry in Ontario.
I have former Military training, which is where I got the baton in the first place, as well as 2 years Law and Security. So I am trained in it's use.
I am not saying at this point in time I should be carrying it. Because I am not in a security job, but I do value my life and my possessions, and will fight to keep them if necessary.
I also have my CFSC and CRFSC (Canadian Firearms Safety Course) and (Canadian Restricted Firearm Safety Course) which was necessary in order to get my PAL (Possesion and acquisition Licence) which is the the replacement for the FAC.
But I don't carry a sidearm when I go out on a UE. I really can't understand why there have been so many immature, DICK replies to my posts. I am all about self defence. It's not like I am freakin RAMBO.
I am the last person that would USE a weapon on someone without cause, and I am also the last person that would have a weapon taken from them. Any of the loud mouths that have replied in such a rude fashion are more than willing to try and disarm me.
